We had been looking forward to the lake aspect of this hotel, in particular, so were very disappointed to find that we were put at the back, over-looking the car park (with distant mountains within sight to, to be fair). The double room - with second bedroom up a flight of stairs was huge, but in a way all the dimensions were wrong. The ceilings were vastly high, the living area narrow, so only the people on the sofa can see the TV. Minor details, really - as there is a lot to like. But I think it all hinges on that lake view. Make sure you ask for it...

My wife and I recently had a wonderful experience staying at the Nita Lake Lodge with our two girls. The rooms are the most spacious I've ever seen in a hotel. Every bed in the lodge is a king, and every bath a double soaker with an adjoining glass walled rain shower. There was plenty of room for our kids to run around making us feel very much at home. Nita Lake Lodge's location right on Nita Lake also provided the outdoor activities we sought as a young family. We could walk to nearby Alpha Lake in just a few minutes to enjoy its sandy beach and shallow water. Or we could take the kids on a short hike or bike ride to nearby Alta Lake where we could rent a canoe for a short paddle.

Not to miss out on Whistler Village's shops and wonderful restaurants, we were able to enjoy the lodge's complimentary Land Rover taxi service that would bring us to any spot in the village and pick us up when we were done. The two complimentary internet computer terminals in the lobby were also a convenient plus.

The staff was very friendly and we look forward to returning with friends for a future stay.

The 2 bedroom suite I stayed in was spacious and luxurious with very modern decor. Interior shutters by the soaker tub and on the second floor landing provided privacy when closed with the flexibility of enjoying a great view of the lake when open.

The hotel staff were accommodating and friendly. The complimentary services the hotel offers guests (ex. bike borrowing, Whistler village and drop off, e.t.c.) put it over the top.

Next time I'm in Whistler, I'll be staying here!

The location is amazing and the lake view from our room made for a wonderful evening of wine, stars and relaxation. But I can't help thinking that I didn't need to pay over 300 dollars for one night of relaxation. There were several other places(cabins and apartments) nearby that provided the same view and seemed just as nice and clean for half the price. A few things I enjoyed: free bikes (thanks to the city not hotel) and easy access to
paths, lake view and the rooms-gorgeous tubs! A few things that lowered the value: terrible restaurant service, 20dollars parking that was tacked onto the bill without a word, only two people on staff during check in and out. also, the hot tubs outside can only fit about 3 people if lucky and the doors to the balcony were a real hassle to open and close. If you want real luxury and relaxation go to emerald lake lodge in the Rockies.

We spent two nights at this hotel with a group of 22 ranging in age from 7 to 78 years old. The rooms were the most spacious I have experienced in twenty years of staying in hotels at Whistler. The decor and furnishings in each room were very elegant and having a DVD player built-in to each large flat-screen tv was a big plus for the kids . The lake is very serene and tranquil but the free, easy shuttle ride to the village was perfect if you wanted shopping/excitement. Our teens also enjoyed the free bikes the hotel offers for guests. The dining experience at Aura was five-star . The only one drawback is that the swimming pool is quite small (a "plunge" pool) for such a large hotel with so much space. We would definitely stay there again .
