The Crystal Lodge is in the perfect location - right on the Village Stroll, steps away from the lifts, restaurants, bars, and shops. We love that about it. But having said that, our first night, a Saturday, was horrible. Around midnight the whoops and hollers began on the Village Stroll below and did not end until around 2:30 a.m. (Apparently it is the sound of the young people's weekend mating calls as they leave the bars.) The Crystal Lodge guests also have no qualms about talking at the top of their lungs in the hallway, both in the middle of the night and in the early morning. It was a little quieter during the week, but we learned our lesson and bought ear plugs at the drugstore just the same. We had two adjoining units - a unit with a Murphy bed and one with a Loft. Each unit sleeps 4 people, but really offer privacy for only 2, and would have been very crowded with 4 people in each. The units are clean and in good condition, but don't expect luxury. Furnishings are in good repair; nothing fancy. The Loft unit has little natural light. It has a small kitchen, but inexplicably no table and chairs, and no fireplace or deck. There is a bit more privacy in the Loft unit since 2 can sleep downstairs in the pull-out couch. The Murphy bed unit is roomier, has a larger kitchen, full-size refrigerator, table and chairs for 4, huge bathroom, deck with mountain view, and fireplace. But the sleeping arrangements are odd. The Murphy bed is right next to the fold-out couch. O.K. if you have young kids, but weird with another couple. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Parking below is ample, dry and warm. The hotel will store your skis. After skiing, relax in the outdoor jacuzzi or try the outdoor lukewarm/cool pool.

Room Tip: If staying on a weekend, get ear plugs..

'Arewehavingfunyet', thank you very much for taking the time to post your detailed account of the Crystal Lodge following your recent stay. We are disappointed to read that the village noise caused your party a disturbance on your first night. As much as municipal by-laws are very strict with after-hours noise levels, this particular evening was obviously not monitored closely. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, Ian Lowe.

This hotel has an ideal location in the heart of whistler with a walk of about 100m to all lifts it also has its own free ski storage area in the hotel. The hotel is immaculate all the time and the staff genuinely cannot do enough for you and are so friendly. The hotel complex includes two restaurants especial the spaghetti factory (cheapish) and the crystal lounge bar cheapest centrally locate bar.We stayed in a one bed suite and a loft room both really spacious and clean not noisy like some reviews.
No negative really only that rooms are warm but you can lower with air con and some have sky lights with no blinds so can be light in morning I guess this will not be a problem for most as skiing is an early start.

Room Tip: loft room nice privacy
