The Fairmont is an outstanding resort hotel in one of the world's premier ski resorts. The hotel came with a big reputation but lived up to it.
The reception area is huge and oozes service, quality, ambience and informality. It's a fabulous place to hang out for post ski drinks or informal but excellent, and reasonably priced, bar and lounge meals.
The rooms continue the theme of quality in all aspects.
The breakfasts are exceptional with buffet or a la carte options. The continental buffet option (cold food only) is good value at $26 per head, to include gourmet coffees, smoothies etc.
Service was universally outstanding and the ease of the ski in/out experience including boot and ski storage was top notch.
The only area for improvement we noted was that at peak times there didn't seem enough staff and the little service extras seemed to suffer. This was a minor issue though.
Overall an amazing hotel fully deserving of its reputation.More
