Location couldn't be better. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy.
Woken up quite a few times due to noise. Thankfully our daughter is a deep sleeper.
Would stay there again but would definitely bring earplugs!

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to stay in Victoria that was in comfortable walking distance from the ferry. I saw the listing for a very affordable price and almost dismissed it as a "you get what you pay for" experience. I couldn't have been more wrong. It's location next to the mall and being on Government St. with all of the main touristy shops was what clenched it, because while I had been to Victoria, my girlfriend had not.

The walk from the Coho ferry to the hotel is not long, maybe a half mile, and was easily doable with our two modest bags. There are tons of eating locations around, from the one inside the hotel to Red Fish Blue Fish, Irish Times Pub, and of course Murchie's Tea which is perfect for a Breakfast/Brunch stop.

The room was nice. Obviously, this is a historic building from before the days where every room had a restroom. Our room was a cozy, corner affair with a nice sitting area and bed. The restroom was a walled off corner of the original room that had a nice jetted tub with shower. While it was too warm at the time to justify using the wood fireplace, it was nice to have that option. The window unit style Air Conditioner was nice during the afternoon, but once the sun was down, all that was needed was to open a window or two, which was comfortable and allowed us to enjoy the view of the harbor even more. We were very comfortable in the room with no complaints at all.

Finally, the counter staff was very gracious and willing to share local knowledge on good places to check out that may not be normal places for a tourist to visit. In the end, we had a perfect stay at the Bedford Regency and look forward to being able to visit again on our next stay in Victoria. If you're looking for a cozy, slightly quirky, comfortable hotel with some very unique charm and character, this is the place to go.

Room tip: Best views are on the higher floors, quietest rooms are those on the lightwell (no views), or on the backside of the hotel from the street.

This hotel is in a fabulous location, easy walking distance to pretty much all that downtown Victoria has to offer.
The room was a little small and fairly tired but it was clean.
Potentially noisy on a warm night with the pubs below.

Room tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the property, it will be quieter but not necessarily quiet.

This small Artsy Hotel was a complete surprise! It is located on one of the major downtown streets in Victoria, just minutes away from amazing shopping, eating, and touristy venues. My room was incredibly unusual in configuration, but I totally loved it. A real working fireplace and a view of the harbor just blocks away that was amazing. It was quiet, inviting, and the staff were great. If you want a hotel experience that is out of the ordinary, stay at the Bedford Regency. Price was great, with a very European feel to it. I would stay with them again without hesitation.

Great location is first. You can park your car and walk or quickly hop a bus to wherever you want to go. The rooms have a lot of amenities like a jacuzzi tub , fireplace, comfortable chairs and bed. All of the people who worked there were friendly and helpful.

Room tip: Clarify what you want in a room.
