My wife and I staid at Abigail's for two nights. Our second floor room was cozy. comfortable and beautifully appointed. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The thing that really sets this place apart, in my mind at least, is the breakfast. They have a lovely breakfast room with table service and a delicious cooked-to-order breakfast, thanks to the friendly chef. What a perfect way to start the day!

Room Tip: Second floor annex rooms have stairs-only access and one must cross the parking lot to access the front desk and breakfast room.

After looking at the tasty menu for breakfast this morning, asked the front desk person how do you plan on getting me to check out of this beautiful B&B? What with the warm welcome when we arrived with Sean showing us all around, the tasty appies served from 4:30 to 6 in the lobby and the library and the chance to purchase a glass of wine or a beer for a reasonable price plus a cozy table for the four of us to play some games of crib while listening to the crackle of the wood burning fireplace and the murmur of the other guests enjoying their appies and wine, then going a short walk to our dinner in the centre of town. The second day we just hit the repeat button and another lovely day rolled by. Which brings us to this morning when we had to check out but we did not really want to!. All the staff at this delightful place should teach the staff at other B&B's how it is done. Thanks so much for your hospitality.

My wife and I stayed at Abigails Hotel during a two day stay on Victoria Island. I can't say enough good things about the hotel, the staff and the great location near downtown Victoria. The hotel is located in an upscale neighborhood about 1/2 mile from the waterfront.

We stayed in one of the smaller rooms on the second floor. The staff was very friendly upon arrival as they gave the history of the hotel, showed us around the first floor, discussed breakfast and showed us to our room. The room was small but very elegant. We were given cookies in our room upon arrival.

They have a small charcuterie available between 5:00PM and 7:00PM in the lobby and coffee available 24/7. The breakfast was FANTASTIC. They offer a complimentary sit down breakfast with waiter service and an on-site chef. There is a small breakfast menu with rich gourmet breakfasts including a sweet as well as a savory dish.

The location is great -- about a 10 minute walk to the Parliament, museum and the waterfront.

Parking was free in their parking lot.

I would recommend this hotel for couples.
