The front reception was helpful, greeted hotel guests in a friendly manner, the room with a view of harbour and Parliament House was exceptional and the restaurant staff really seemed to enjoy their work and looked after guests. Close to everything with exceptional views.

Such a beautiful hotel, with a staff that aims to please. We had a room that overlooked the harbor. Clean, great amenities, very comfortable beds! The lounge was hopping with a great jazz duo! A wonderful place to stay in the heart of Victoria!

I went back and forth so many times about where to stay in Victoria. In the end, our family had a good experience at this hotel. The rooms were small, but nice. The lobby is large and modern, while the rooms have a more traditional feel. Overall, it was very comfortable. We had an issue with one room and they promptly changed us to another room, which was great. The location was excellent and offered good options for just about anything to do in the city. We walked everywhere and it is a very convenient location--especially if you are getting on the ferry to Port Angeles.

Hotel is very central in Victoria. It's 5 mins from the Fairmont; 5 mins from the Museum and the old town area. Also close to restaurants. Rooms are pretty compact although we had 2 adults and 2 children in a twin room with a roll-away bed. I've stayed in hotels with larger rooms. They're more European in size. Most of the hotel is covered in plastic at the moment as it's being renovated. We didn't hear any noise from the 4th floor. Don't expect a view out the front of the hotel unless you pay for it. "Residential view" looks out the back across car park and at other residences. Front/harbour view would be worth it if you're spending time in your room.

Room tip: Free WiFi is slow. Pool is currently closed during renovations (19 March 2016). The Keg steakhouse and Grill was fantastic.

We spent a week here on business. Half of the hotel is under major construction, but that really didn't affect us at all. Our room was terrific with two balconies and a great view of the inner harbor. It's easy to walk everywhere if you want to (we did.) But, they'll snag a taxi for you. (No Uber in British Columbia, btw). Everyone was helpful and cheerful. Clean and cozy. The gym is quite nice, even though it's in the basement. Some locals use it for their primary facility. Pool is currently closed til March 25ish. I'd definitely stay here again.

Room tip: Overlooking the harbor is terrific, but I think all rooms have great balcony views. It's a gorgeous city.
