We had dinner at this particular Cactus Club Cafe. Reservations was a must here.. it's that popular! The view is the sunset along with the delectable food made the evening quite lovely! The beef burger is a chefs speciality and a must have! We did not sit around in the club area but it seemed pretty exciting with good music! Reserve in advance so that you can get the window seats! It's an awesome place for a romantic dinner.. although sometimes the noise gets to you!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I had the Modern Bowl with Salmon. It is like having all of the courses mixed together in a small salad bowl. There were fumes because of the seaplanes nearby, but it was an otherwise awesome restaurant.

As we are staying in the waterfront precinct went for a short walk and found a huge restaurant right on the waterfront. Service was very prompt and friendly. We noticed that the restaurant was full of very attractive waitresses ...no wonder the place was full!

When a restaurant like Cactus Club is part of a big chain, going to any one of them produces almost the same dining experience. For some, this uniformity is a good thing since you always know what to expect. At almost any Cactus Club you can expect good service, well-prepared food, and clean, pleasant surroundings.

The Cactus Club at Canada Place has a spectacular setting overlooking Coal Harbour, Stanley Park, and the north shore mountains, especially if you can get window booth. Our own booth in the dining room had a pleasant peekaboo view.

Unless you're part of the after-work party crowd, ask for a booth in the dining room...it's much quieter! The patio seating has LOUD music and LOUD conversations.

While a very busy location and despite not having reservations, we were seated quickly. Our drink orders were taken, and since it was Happy Hour, reasonably priced, although quantities were a bit scant. For some reason, one of our glasses of wine came at regular price, although ordered during Happy Hour, with our server cheerfully announcing it was a HH drink. Later, when asked, our waitress said she didn't know how to adjust the bill.

Other than that small glitch on the bill, the rest of the meal was overall good. I ordered the Quinoa Salad, a sizeable serving which included spicy pecans, feta, tomatoes, and raisins over a bed of arugula, which I shared with my wife. Our guest ordered the Raincoast Greens – a dinner salad – which had grilled chicken breast, avocado, spicy pecans in bed of greens. Both salads were beautiful to look at and very tasty.

I also ordered the Feenie Burger – Angus beef, sautéed mushrooms, cheddar cheese, and bacon – definitely a big meal. It came with a disappointing bowl of rather bland French fries.

My wife ordered the Spaghettini & Kobe Style Meatballs. She enjoyed every bite, especially the rich truffle mushroom cream in the sauce.

My wife and our guest finished with a small, yummy Caramel Chocolate Mousse each for dessert.

It's not gourmet cooking, but definitely pricier higher-end diner food.

This is the third time we have been there. Both other times were great. This time U2 was in town and that made a big difference. Recommend that you do not go when there are special events. place was packed, tables around us had more people at them than there should have been. Food had to be sent back to be redone or reheated. I do not think that this restaurant was prepared to handle such a big crowd. I would go back if it wasn't so crowded, just to give it another chance.
