Virtually any time I am in Vancouver I have to head down to walk the seawall, sometimes in greater distance than others. From the sails at Canada Place to the far side of Stanley Park, this always a beautiful and serene place to be!

The Seawalk is an absolute must for those visiting Vancouver. There are separate lanes for cyclists and pedestrians/runners so that it is possible to take in the considerable beauty rather than concentrate on avoiding collisions. One side of the seawalk is the forest of Stanley Park (Douglas fir, Western hemlock, Western red cedar) the other side looks out on the Harbour of Vancouver, the North Shore mountains, the Lions Gate bridge etc. The Seawalk is a great place for people of all ages.

As with anywhere in the area its very very busy but this is till enjoyable especially if you hire bikes. I would highly recommend a bike as the way to do it. It takes roughly half an hour to cycle right round at a steady pace but there are many tracks in the forest you can also enjoy. Just please cycle sensibly and follow the signs throughout the park - show respect. Plenty of places to hire bikes before entering the park with lots of bike choices. Great scenery all the way round especially of the Lionsgate bridge and across to North Vancouver and the mountains on a clear day.
