Great market with a lot of everything!
It’s a group of shops each offering their specialty. Pasta, produce, chocolate, donuts, meat, fish and more.
You will find a little something for everything, or maybe a lot of something.
Two ways of getting across, you can either catch a river taxi at €6 each return or walk over the bridge for free with great views of the harbour and city sky line - good for pictures
The market has a varied selection of arts and crafts shops and eateries
There is an indoor market as well with many stalls catering from just coffee to a wide selection of places to grab a bite to eat
Many shops to buy souvenirs
Definitely worth a visit, we spent 3 hours here
Well, as far as good food goes, this market has some of the best - from pastries to Italian bistro take away. It was just fab to walk around trying this and that. Esp the apple pie pastry....
It’s lively and there are plenty of food stalls serving a variety of foodstuffs. There are some good eating places in and around the market too. It’s walkable from downtown (there is a pedestrian walkway on the road bridge) but also accessible by Aquabus.
The only bad thing about visiting here was that we would not be able to take the produce and other items to the US with us. Fabulous place to see, visit, eat.
