This restaurant serves creative, tasty dishes. The place was super busy when we arrived so we sat at the bar. Clam chowder and Pork cheek hash were both excellent. Service was great and the personable, friendly bartender added to the character of the restaurant. Glass walls look out onto market. This restaurant is a nice relaxing alternative to eating inside the bustling market. There is also a nice little shop inside, selling local products. I definitely recommend stopping here for a meal or just a drink.

We made a (necessary) reservation on a cool, rainy, Wednesday for lunch while at Granville Market. It was quite busy though the service was still quite good. The menu offers a decent range sufficient for vegans, vegetarians, carnivores, and gluten-avoiding types. The fish sandwich was well-prepared with a range of textures (crispy fish, crunch slaw, sauce, and a soft bun), the beet salad was quite tasty, and the fish and chips were some of the best we’ve had, and the fries were cooked perfectly (well done). They have a range of local beers and a wide selection of wine. The beers come in two sizes and were cold (as we like). We’d happily return to Edible Canada!

We were a table of 4 and had a mixed experience. The salads and mixed bowl at the table were enjoyed but not the fish and chips. The batter on the fish was gluten free and so there was much enthusiasm - but unfortunately the fish was overcooked so it was disappointing. It was a very busy day, tables are jammed in and service was erratic as well - perhaps they are victims of their own success?

I have dined at Edible Canada Bistro a number of times and never have been disappointed. It focuses on farm to table fresh ingredients within distinct menu choices, some connected to specific Canadian cuisine. The wait staff is relaxed and helpful. A most appreciated feature is that it is in the heart of Granville Island Market and across the street from the Arts Club. A great location before attending a play.
