My stay at the Granville Island Hotel was relaxing and quiet. Close to everything. I recommend this hotel and will look to return during my next visit to Vancouver. I just wish I had better weather to enjoy a walk or two by the waterfront.

The Granville Island Hotel is really on an island and definitely has the feel of getting away from it all. You can walk for miles along a dedicated pedestrian path (or bike safely) all the way to Stanley Park with its beautiful beaches. Along the way you pass Science World and the Olympic Village--lovely spots for peace and rejuvenation. Or you can just hang out on the island which has a world-class covered market, restaurants, shops, art, and theatres. There are so many options, you'll find yourself coming back year after year. Granville Island Hotel is right on this little oasis which means you can leave your car parked and head out on foot (or bike) every day. It is located directly on the water and is quite stylish and comfortable. Views from every room. A great escape from city life, without even having to travel far away.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a family vacation. The location was perfect. The hotel is an easy walk to the Granville public market which has so much to see. There are many shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance from the hotel. We stayed for two nights and once we parked our car, we didn't use it again until we left. We went downtown to Flyover Canada and took a cab. It was about a $14 cab ride. We also decided to go to the science center to see an imax movie and we used the water taxi that picks you up on Granville island and drops you off a few blocks from the science center. It was fun. Even though Vancouver is a large city, once the shops closed on Granville Island, it was very quiet. In fact, we heard nothing from our room and had a great view across the water of the buildings lit up at night. Perfect location for us. Big city experience with a quiet secluded hotel at night. We will stay here again.

This is a boutique hotel with charm and grace. It’s an older hotel but has been well maintained and upgraded. The lobby is warm and welcoming and the staff very friendly.

Had a beautiful room overlooking the harbour - science centre and the marina. The proximity to downtown is great and being right on Granville Island is definitely self explanatory for all the shops, restaurants and things to occupy yourself.
The restaurant is very good as is room service. The room has lovely linens, comfortable bed, well furnished and had quality spa toiletries which were a delight to the senses.

This was our first visit and we can’t wait to return!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Granville Island Hotel. Luxury at a reasonable price. Friendly people, and a very convenient and interesting location. Visiting the market the morning I left was a real treat.
