great location . safe neighborhood. clean but very basic. no coffee in room . no parking. everything else was good. very spacious room. ice maker not working. Zero luxury !
there is a spot to load and unload your car and you might get street parking for better price.

Room tip: suit for three was excellent and roomy.

Good quiet location. But not a quiet room. Had a heard of elephants on the level above me & there is no soundproofing to the corridor with it's tiled floor. Room had a fridge, free Wi-Fi, cable TV & a couch which had seen better days. The shower was tiny with average water pressure. No lift in the building. The bed was pretty comfy, but only a double. No breakfast.

This wasn't the fanciest hotel, but it was clean, comfortable and in a great location. We were able to explore the city without a car without any problems.
Loads of places to eat and a Whole Foods store to buy something healthy, just a short walk away.
Close to Stanley Gardens.

The Good: Quality materials were used in the decor like marble and satin. The location was very convenient for walking around the city and finding nearby restaurants. The Bad: No elevator & we were on the 3rd floor. Had to keep the curtain wide open all night to use the air conditioning. The Ugly: No designated parking. When I asked the front desk where to park, they looked blank, then sent us a block down to a shady public parking garage off an alley. No security and signs everywhere to not leave anything in your car. Scary and not cheap. Also had mildew on the ceiling of the shower which felt unclean. Paint was peeling off the ceiling in many places and on the woodwork. The entrance to the hotel gave a good impression - falsely.

Room tip: Try to get the first floor!

A budget hotel that is well located in the less retail section of Robson street, within a 1.2 kms easy walk to the English Bay beach area and about 1.7 kms to Stanley Park and with plenty of restaurants/cafes very close. According to reports, they have supposedly recently spent $1m on renovations, but sorry to say, we couldn't see it.
We stayed there on two separate occasions in July and August, with the first room on the 3rd floor being (too) small and the second room on the 2nd floor, much larger. Both had fridges, but the air con was behind the curtain!?! The hotel is clean and reasonably comfortable. There is no elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage. Staff behind the front desk are friendly and very helpful; there is free WiFi and a guest computer in the lobby. There is no dining room, but a very good option for breakfast - Cora's - next door.
