Langara golf course is a municipal course open to the general public. The grounds are picturesque wit many flowering plants and the greens are watered using an underground aquifer that has non potable water. So while the lack of rain has precipitated a water crisis in Vancouver so watering restrictions prevent keeping grass green, this course is still beautiful and lush. I live only a five minute walk from the clubhouse so almost every morning you will find me strolling into the attractive restaurant there for breakfast. You order your food at the front but when it is ready, it will be served to you wherever you have decided to sit. Most nice mornings, I choose to sit outside overlooking the greens. The prices are low to moderate and the fare quite delicious and bountiful. They open at 7:30 am and close around 8 pm everyday during the golf season. You might characterize the menu as light repasts, mostly hot and cold sandwiches and other such light foods. Definitely a nice place to stop for breakfast or lunch and there is plenty of free parking there.
