Such a beautiful location. Views of the gardens and the bay. Staff are efficient, friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and service very quick.
Pricing is average, not expensive.
The building is gorgeous and the restaurant has a lovely ambiance.
Happily recommend a visit here for lunch, or just come for coffee and desert.

A friend and I stopped here for lunch on our way around the Seawall. Since we started walking at the marina in Stanley Park we were certainly ready for a rest and food! Our Poplar Grove Pinot Gris was lovely, and went well with our fish and chips. I had a Tuscany Salad instead of the chips, and it was wonderful — very fresh greens and lots of tasty cherry tomatoes. The battered ling cod was perfectly cooked and not overwhelmed by the batter. Good size fillets, too. The tartar sauce was the best I've ever tasted. Our server, Tyler, was excellent and kindly brought us more of the delicious baguette to go with our wine. As for the setting, on a sunny day it can't be beat. We ate our lunch overlooking a sparkling English Bay, and our only regret was not having room for dessert.

Had the wild mushroom tortellini and it was phenomenal. One of the best pastas I have ever had! Had the stuffed mushrooms and mussels to start, also delicious.

We celebrated our 46th anniversary at The Teahouse, where we had celebrated our 30th and made the decision to retire in Vancouver. My partner was depressed and cranky until we got there, because of the dreary weather and a trip cancelled for medical reasons. So the evening did not look auspicious.

And yet it was a wonderful evening, more delightful than we could ever have had in Hong Kong (the destination of the cancelled trip). The Dine Out menus were excellent, but the food could not compare – indeed, almost nothing could compare – with the service we received from our waitress Phil. She recognized us from previous visits and turned the evening into a party, as additional food kept heading our way and she climbed atop chairs to use my camera-phone. She was so, so exuberant that we had a GREAT time. We left with big smiles.
