We were travelling with our 2 year old and it was excellent to have a place with an affordable one bedroom suite & full kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was excellent. the building is undergoing upgrades, so there were some complications associated with that and we didn't know this until we arrived. As it turns out, we were unaffected. The building is definitely in need of upgrades, but the beds were comfortable, the sheets were good quality, and the kitchen had two of everything one might need. It's a noisy street on a Saturday night and we were glad to be up higher in the building. Upgrading the windows would help with this. We'll definitely stay there again and we look forward to seeing the completed renos.

Thank you very much for taking time to write about us. I will surely let our friendly staff know of your kind words. Being on the famous Robson street in the busy Vancouver downtown has lots of great advantages like walking distance to most famous eateries, great shopping stores and Vancouver's famous and scenic Stanley park, unfortunately it also comes with its drawbacks like the street noise. You will be pleased to know that the upgrades are almost done as it is part of our continued effort to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. Your kind presence will always be met by our warm hospitality and humbleness. Till your next visit, our best wishes to you and your family.

Me and a group of friends have stayed at the Riviera a few years in a row now for 2 nights in December, this hotel is conveniently located downtown and is a nice alternative to the big name hotel chains, we have never had a problem with our room the view from the higher up floors is spectacular and the staff is incredibly friendly and quick to lend a hand when needed which keeps us coming back. The only thing we've found a problem is due to the hotels smaller size sound travels easily and if one rooms being loud other rooms are disturbed. Despite that We'll be back again this year :)

Thank you. You are too kind with your words. I am glad you felt like you are in a big named chain Hotel. And yes our location has been largely appreciated. We do respect every guest on our premises, which is why we humbly ask, if you are bothered by any noise on our property, please call front desk immediately so we can have it looked into right then as someone is always available to help you, 24 hours, everyday. We welcome you back. And our "incredibly friendly" staff will be more than happy to provide you with the same humbleness and friendliness on your next visit. Till we meet you and your friends again, we wish you happiness and prosperity.

I really had a warm welcome by the staff. The room was good, clean and well maintained. Very convenient and easily accessible by local transit system. Lots of good restaurant closely by to the hotel and they operate last night. In short best place to spend your vacation.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Being on the busy Robson street helps being close to all the good restaurants, local transit and the great shopping areas around.
From all at the Riviera Hotel, we thank you for your kind words and until your next visit to Vancouver, we wish you all the best.

In November, I traveled to Vancouver and went on a hotel website to book a hotel, this came up and it was offered at an extremely low rate which I thought too good to be true, but the price and location were where I wanted them so I booked it. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the front desk agent who advised me of everything about the room. He also answered questions regarding restaurants in the vicinity. I went to the room and opened the door and was quite surprised at how upgraded and new everything was, it was like a mini apartment, bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen. Wow, impressive!! Next time I'm in Vancouver and needing a hotel, I will look no further than the Riviera Hotel on Robson.
