This was my first visit to this upscale Indian restaurant in downtown Vancouver, but it won’t be my last. Located on the second floor at the corner of a building that faces Tiffany & Co. in one direction and the Fairmont Hotel in the other, this is definitely not a low rent district and the food prices reflect the location. However, they are fair as the service is excellent and the food was prepared with care and authenticity. Delays between course service were short and it was clear the waitstaff were keeping close eye on the choreography. The lentil soup was light but with enough body to chase the evening chili away. Samosas were large fluffy pillows and the garlic naan were light but stretchy. Lamb saag went well with the cumin spiced basmati rice and a dish of mango ice cream made for the perfect finish.
