We spent three nights at Pacific Sands. Too short, certainly. Located on a great beach with all sorts of waves to suit children, boogie boarders and devoted surfers alike. Wonderful walking on beach and even better playing in the ocean.

Our one bedroom suite had everything we needed for a good family holiday. Full kitchen with oven etc ... and the resort lent us things like baking trays and a rolling pin. Comfy bed, gas fireplace, really nice dining table, a floor that tolerated sand and muck well, and more.

Some other lovely features:
- Wonderful enclosed gazebo with barbecues, fire pit, tables. Great for group meals.
- Hammocks overlooking the beach and surf
- Box of beach toys for borrowing.
- On site wetsuit, boogie/surf board and bike rentals.
- Separated bike path into Tofino running beside main road
But be warned that the wifi is very dodgy still. Mind you, who had time for wifi ?

Best of all, the staff were truly helpful. A special shout out to Markus at reception (who sorted out every minor issue instantly) and Kate in the Surf shop (wonderful with kids and people).

The room had a great view of the ocean, the king size bed was so comfortable, a great place for a short birthday celebration. Choices for eating are great, you can prepare a meal in your room, barbecue outside or take the short drive into Tofino for a choice of restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. This was our second time visiting Pacific Sands and we will return!

Room Tip: We requested a suite with afternoon sun on an above ground floor.

I was extremely disappointed when I first arrived because the room was not what we had thought it would be. We originally had a lighthouse suite, which felt dated, dingy and old (not at all what is pictured on the website). After speaking to the front desk, we changed to a beach house suite, which was absolutely beautiful! Exactly what was pictured on the website: clean, modern and spacious. The beach houses come with heated floors, fireplaces and a beautiful view of the beach! I would highly recommend the beach houses, the Lighthouse suites need some renovations. The hotel also offers complimentary hot chocolate/tea in the check in area as well as DVD rentals by donation to a local charity. All staff were very kind and welcoming!
If you want to go surfing there, I would highly recommend Surf Sisters, which is located right on the hotel property! I had a private lesson, and the instructor was knowledgeable, friendly and fun!

Dear Laura B,

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay in the Beach House.

We are fortunate to have options for every size and every budget. The Beach Houses are a very special place and have had guest returning regularly since they were build. The addition of Surf Sister has been a great fit. They have helped beginners try surfing at a safe and enjoyable pace for almost 1 year now.

We are glad you had such a marvellous stay and we can't wait to see you in the future again! Thank you for the review.
Regards,
Shane Richards

My husband and I spent 6 nights in a studio suite at Pacific Sands Beach resort at the end of May. We had an excellent king-size bed and a wonderful view of the surf. We were on the ground floor so could walk right out to the beach. Heaven! The room had a basic, although well-equipped kitchen. No dishwasher though (darn!). The bathroom was also basic. Towels were lovely! Daily housekeeping is "light". They are in and out in 5 minutes. However, the staff is super cooperative and when asked to do extra cleaning, it was done with no charge. The resort is located right on the bike/pedestrian path into downtown Tofino, which is very convenient. There is a wide choice of accommodation on Cox Bay, but we will return to Pacific Sands Resort for our longer stays in Tofino.

A beautiful, relaxing, getaway for family times, romance, and nature right at your door step. Pacific Sands has everything you need to enjoy your holiday. Just open your door and walk a few steps to stunning Cox Bay and the wild Pacific surf. If you want to try surfing or paddle surfing you can rent everything you need at the Surf Shack. You can also sign up for lessons at the same time. After a long hike, surfing, fishing/bear watching, kayaking, etc come back and curl up by the fire, play a board game or watch a movie that you picked up in the office. Run out of grocery items or need a coffee no problem Pacific Sands thought of that. You can also find it in the office area.
In the evenings enjoy a glass of your favourite beverage and enjoy the sunset. The Pacific Northwest at its Best!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are fantastic with oceanfront views and a patio or balcony to enjoy the fresh air.
