We ate at Basic Goodness during our trip to Tofino. The pizzas were pretty good, particularly the one with ‘nduja sausage. The pizzas came pretty quickly and the restaurant was in a good location. There are better places to eat in town but if you like pizza this is a very good place to go.

My wife and I were traveling on the north coast of Vancouver Island and stopped to get something to eat at this pizza place. Once we finally got served, and the place was not that busy, we ordered one Hawaiian and a Diavola.

It took over an hour to get them and then they were filled with grease. Horrible food and even worse service. Then we get the bill and we see some "Land YOU are on Tax"????? We asked what that was about and we were told that they are supporting the first nations on the area. I replied, that they were not supporting anyone it was me that was supporting the Indigenous people not the business.

If the owners wanted to do something for the First Nations around their community, maybe they should sell their business and give the money the Indigenous community.

I paid with the exact cash, less the illegal "Land YOU are on tax" and left. We will never stop at this pizza joke ever again.

Terrible colonizer pizza. The building and land needs to be donated to local indigenous tribe. The woke owner should also give back any other real estate they own to local indigenous people. Instead of charging an illegal 1% land tax quit being such a virtue signalling hypocrite and give all the land YOU occupy back to the indigenous people.

Was hoping this would be a good spot for a meal but ran into issues with some rude and impatient staff, as well as having a long wait time. Myself and 3 others sharing 3 pizzas we got some sticker shock on the $120+ bill. Pizzas were way too greasy and we wondered if we would have had better pizza at name-brand stores?

We were also not too happy about about the 1% "land you are on" tax which all patrons are compelled to pay. I would have been ok with there being a donation jar or something, but to strong arm me with an unlawful tax, leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Good location in tofino. Quick service. The pizza base was nice but the pizza was way too greasy to enjoy.
