We stayed over to visit many of the places on the largest of the Gulf Islands, including some incredibly beautiful and historic churches. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, and had the usual amenities.

The water pressure, surprisingly, was AMAZING! So great, for the shower people! The breakfast provided was simple, but fulfilling, and good coffee.

Staff? Pleasant, courteous, and willing to please. Hot tub, BBQ’s available. In terms of “bang for your buck”, it was definitely agreeable.

The second floor exterior walkway? Scary. It can be felt shifting underneath a person walking. Hopefully they look into that VERY soon.

I think it is shameful that in 2017 a fairly expensive hotel should be so sub-standard. The room needs updating. It is shoddy. Smells. Unclean. The toilet was full and un-flushed on my arrival, despite having a sanitary tag across it. Breakfast is equally lacking in care. Why are these people running a hotel?

Accommodation was quiet, spacious, and clean with comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Furniture showing some wear and stains. Second floor had nice view. Large outdoor wooden decks with seating areas would be enjoyable in warmer weather. WiFi was consistent. TV had comprehensive channel selection. Continental breakfast was minimal. Located approximately 1 km from Ganges.

Room Tip: Second Floor rooms have view towards Mt.Baker

Salt Spring Island was on our Bucket List and now it's off. This island is a great place to visit if your from the big city.
The Seabreeze Inn does not live up to even small town standards and we're from a small town. Our room was dated, grimy, had black mold in vanity and bathroom ceiling. The entrance door dead bolt was not functioning and you could see daylight through the closed door. The furniture appeared to be the same as the day it opened, back in the 1970's? Outside grounds and amenities were in need of paint and TLC.
In all the place does need A LOT of care and upgrading. The continental breakfast was not up to todays standards when compared to what other hotels in the same price range. Overpriced and underperformed.

This is a dilapidated motel just outside Ganges. I booked it because all the other places on Saltspring have rooms with double beds, and we are travelling with friends who wanted a bed each. Seabreeze seems to be the only place on the island offering this configuration! The housekeeping staff do their best to keep the rooms clean, but the carpet is so old I am afraid to be barefoot on it, nor will I sit on the couch without long trousers on. The air in the room is pretty stale. About the only thing I can recommend about this place is the very spacious wooden deck (painted a cheery lavender) that overlooks the ocean. On a clear day, you can see Mount Baker!
