I found this place via TA and took the short walk from my hotel around 7:30am local time. It is located on the main route through city centre Victoria Street/TransCanada. It is a vibrant spot with customers coming and going and you can tell there are plenty of regulars because staff call them by name. There's a chalkboard menu for lunch, etc. But the breakfast menu is printed and at the cash. I order coffee and an egg scramble which came with wheat toast and a bowl of fruit. It was flavourful and looked good as well. The fruit was good as well. I would consider the coffee average. The service was, as others suggest, perhaps a bit scattered but this is actually what makes this place charming - think of some of the quirky cafes from The Seinfeld Show! I would definitely come back to this spot and recommend it based on the quirky charm, if you're into that. It was overly busy during the morning Rush and was worth the wait for my food...which seemed to be forgotten. Two staff apologized for the length of time and one gave me a blueberry scone on the house. It was delicious!

Food is good. They are a bit unorganized at times. Ordered bacon and eggs twice now and the over easy eggs were over med and the next time I ordered scrambled and they were barely stirred. Looked like a broken egg fried with big clumps of eggs whites then puddles of cooked egg yolks.

Great bacon but poor bread choices. If you love mcgavin’s bread then you’ll feel right at home. If you are looking for a sandwich with a good rye bread or artisan bread then pass on by.

I have been dropping in at Margo's for many year5s and they always have great food. I will pick up FRESH and WARM banana bread on my way to work just after 7 and it never disappoints. Rather than drive thru food I choose to stop and get a Greek or Caesar wrap for my later lunch. It is a popular place even at 7am. Low key and relaxing to eat in or fast for take out . always friendly and smiling staff. hubby says says it has the best fresh roast beef sandwiches ever.

The staff were a bit friendly but disorganized. One person at the till, two making sandwiches and one in the kitchen.

I ordered a toasted tuna fish on brown with a cup of split pea and ham soup to go.

The tuna fish was well seasoned (a plus), bread was toasted evenly and the soup was light with pieces of chopped, sliced Black Forest ham in it. I wish they had better bread choices than wonder bread and the soup would have been better without the ham.

On the plus side they had choices for vegans and vegetarians.

Steady good daytime lunch counter with two mixed up orders (but not mine). Seem to have a loyal clientele. Not bad, not special though.
