Give a little donation to help them offer education to children on how to help to environment and oceans--then walk outside as you are right on the waterfront

This is a wonderful place to explore in Cowichan Bay but they are desperately trying to raise public funds to upgrade the museum. They would really appreciated the support.

The volunteers have made this place a great place to take your out of town visitors for a unique sea-side experience. You can see volunteers working on old vintage boat inside the wood-working shop. Out on the warf in one of the little shelters, there are pieces of pre-cut wood for the kids to hammer a little sailboat together to take home. The historical pictures at each little shelter as you walk out to the end of the warf is well worth taking time to look at. Great fun for the young and the old.

If you love water boats and wildlife, you have to visit here. A lot of history portrayed, very friendly people who are never in a hurry to answer any local questions. Peaceful and serene early or later in the day. Makes you want to own a boat!!

Lots to see if you take your time and are not put off by the lack of decor. Get close to little sea creatures, learn about the Cowichan Bay ecosystem, appreciate the bay more when you go back outside to admire the view. Very friendly staff.
