Our dinner before attending the theater was mediocre, at best. This restaurant is definitely living on past laurel's. Time for an upgrade. Excellent server, but Cook staff needs revamping. Meal was not worth the money.

My wife and I visited Packrat Louie for the first time recently. Right off the bat the staff was very friendly and we were seated right away. The server was extremely attentive and had great insight into the menu and wine list. I had the rack of lamb and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My wife ordered a wood-fire oven pizza, which they had no problem customizing, and it was excellent as well. We enjoyed dessert and coffee afterward, and we did not feel any pressure from the staff to finish up even though the restaurant was busy. We will definitely go back next time we are in the city.

Consistently, the lemon pizza - one size only that can be a meal for one - or shared appetizer for two - is the best thing on their menu. We've had several meals at Packrat, and we always find the appetizers better than the entrees. We had the cod cheeks and butternut gnocchi last week as part of their 4 course Groupon - it was hard to tell the cod from the gnocchi.... We will go back for the lemon pizza and salad, but not interested in paying $$$ for what we get otherwise. The location is great if you are around Whyte avenue.

Nice food but quality slightly below cost - tenderloin pork.
Drinks service was slow.
Bill included 18% service charge for parties over 8 and then they didn't bring any change so charge was more like 25%.
Don't be caught out at the bill stage!!

Fantastic food! YUM! I had the lamb. Tried the beef cheeks. Both were very delicious. The staff went out of their way to make the evening unforgettable!
