First time visitor to this newly renovated building. Incredible acoustic and architectural design. The organ is large. Minimal food availability on property.

The symphony is great in Edmonton! If you have a chance to attend their Christmas special, it is worth it.

They also pair their music and arrangements with canadian artists which is great to see and hear.

Great music!! And possible to get great seats for a memorable evening.

Never disappointed at the ESO. this performance was a combination of talents from the orchestra and a very talented vocalist lead by an extremely competent and knowledgable conductor. Overall an entertaining evening! We've been attending the Pops for several years and the only negative is that the themes are somewhat repetitive and while the music is fantastic the subjects are sometimes not familiar but somehow the expectation is that they should be. I guess that's the way we learn but hearing familiar tunes is more enjoyable for me.

Our daughters bought our family tickets to this event for Christmas. We range in age from 22-57 and all enjoyed it. Honestly, how can you go wrong listening to our amazing symphony at any time? The guest vocalists were very good. We had another great evening at the symphony.

This is a wonderful event at Hawrelak park. You need to be in the park at least one hour or earlier before the performance starts to find parking. There is park and ride at Windsor car park at U of A. Tickets sell out fast every year as this is one of the Symphonies most popular events. Food concessions are available within the pavilion. Lines do get busy for food so get there early.

The building looks modern, and fits well in modernistic/futuristic architectural picture of the Churchill square.
The acoustics is good in the hall, specially in front part (sound is somewhat bland, to my taste, at edges).

If driving, try to park few blocks away: exiting the main parking facility (underneath the square and the library) may take up to an hour after a concert.

My boyfriend took me to the symphony for my birthday this tear, and it was phenomenal. We booked pretty late so we ended up sitting fairly high up, but the sound was still amazing. The musicians in the symphony are great! We went to the Hollywood show, and recognized so many of the songs. I can't wait to go back!

The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra (ESO) is a real cultural treasure. The ESO has an annual promotion where any seat in the house is $26.00. We have been extremely fortunate to tap into this resource and have booked four and five concerts a year of some of the great music from our classic and contemporary past.

The ESO is very talented; I have heard some of my favorite pieces played to perfection, each nuance respected and clarified in a treatment and sound that would make any composer very proud. I do enjoy the ESO for all that they contribute to our cultural profile as a major Canadian city.

In addition to the orchestra being one of Canada's more respected groups, they are home in the extraordinary Winspear Centre, Edmonton's contribution to the great music venues in the world.

Take the time to sit, relax and revel in a tincture of pure musical bliss. You really won't regret it.

Edmonton is blessed with a world class symphony orchestra. We are treated to phenomenal performances every time. The guest soloists that are brought in for each concert are amazing. Tonight we were treated to a virtuoso performance of Saint- Saen's "Egyptian" piano concerto with Stewart Goodyear on piano, followed by Mendelssohn's "Scottish" Symphony. A wonderful evening, and typical for what to expect at an ESO concert. If you are fortunate enough to live in Edmonton, you ought to subscribe, or at least attend frequently. If you are visiting, make it a point to book tickets for a concert. You won't regret it!
