It seems a bit strange to me to have a town park within Banff National Park but I guess that (as other reviewers have pointed out) it would be a great place to have a picnic in the summer. In April it was pretty frozen.

It is a nice pit stop while in Banff. The washrooms are clean and modern. While you wait or just relax you have awesome scenery to take in . There is a fair amount of free parking but it does fill up fast. The park is pretty central to Banff and is an easy walking distance within Banff.

Lovely park with parking, washrooms and good walking trails. We were here in the winter, so was great to see the Bow river frozen over.

Stumbled upon a farmers market here one day. My family and I had a great time wandering along the stalls. The park's setting is gorgeous and right along the Bow River.

The architecture of the washroom building is quite eye-catching, and every every town needs a good supply of public washrooms. The Gazebo is the oldest feature of the main area of the park, and is the focus of many public celebration. But there are also nice and unique playgrounds (we've never seen these in any other playground in the world) as well so the kids have something to do. There is also a lot of parking available. Great asset for the town of Banff.
