Thank you very much for leaving some feedback - we really enjoyed hosting you all and hope to see you back here one day!
The Rundlestone Lodge has a cozy atmosphere with a nice lobby where you can sit by the fire and read a book if you like. The staff is friendly and there is a good pool (although we did not get time to use it). We found our room to be clean with Banff-style décor, which is also expressed throughout the rest of the hotel. Or room had a great, comfortable bed and good choice of pillows as well. Breakfast at Bumper's (in the Lodge) was also good, lots of food and nice fruit bowl, and reasonably priced.
The lodge is at the far end of the town, but not really an issue as Banff is quite walkable and nothing is really too far away. Pretty nice place really.
Thank you! We really appreciate the feedback and have shared your kind words with our team.
We stayed at Rundlestone Lodge over the Christmas Holidays. It was a great hotel, good location and the friendliest staff I have encountered at a hotel in a long time. They were very knowledgeable of the area and extremely helpful! We were having such a great time we extended our stay an extra night. The beds in this hotel were very comfortable and rooms were very clean. I would go back anytime and would recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to Banff.
I am especially pleased to read your comments about how friendly our staff are! We are lucky to have so many kind and thoughtful staff members from all over the world and it's always appreciated when their efforts are recognised. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you host you again one day.
Overall this is a very nice hotel to stay at in Banff. When we checked in we were upgraded from a 2 queen suite to a king and queen suite because they were out of our original room. The girl checking us in was very friendly and accommodating, especially since we had another group checking in with us who were not there yet. Also the best rate is from phoning and booking directly with them.
-It is about a 1km walk from downtown banff or a $10 cab ride. Which is not bad if you don't mind walking/it's daytime in the summer, but some people we travelled with found it a bit far for the apres ski.
-They have heated underground parking, but the max. clearance is 6'3", so not good if you have a truck.
-They have ski lockers with free padlocks you can borrow.
-The pool and hot tub are nice, the hot tub is quite large, fitting at least 10 adults.
-Rooms are a good size and the sink/mirrior are outside of the shower/toilet, which is nice when sharing a room.
-Bumpers, the restaurant in the hotel, has excellent dinners, for around $20-$30, including an all you can eat salad bar. Bumpers has $9 breakfast specials Monday-Friday and $14 all you can eat breakfast buffet Sat/Sun. The breakfast buffet is alright, maybe a bit overpriced if you're not a big eater, as the flavour isn't there (sausage, bacon, ham, eggs, pancakes, french toast all in warmers, cereal, toast, yogurt-with toppings, pastries, juice, coffee and tea).
We had an amazing stay at the Rundlestone Lodge. The staff are extremely accomodating and the rooms are modern and comfortable. Any time that we called reception for extra items, we received them within a few minutes. Highly recommended.
We've been to this hotel a few times before and are always moved to write a review praising their staff and accommodation. We loved the spaciousness and amenities in our room. There was a wee glitch with heating but maintenance arrived quickly and had it fixed to our complete satisfaction. We want to thank Jess, Caris, Mike, Jerome, and Barb in Bumpers (great brunch) for another fine mini-holiday in Banff. We are very confident in recomending this hotel. Cheers, Linda & Rae
Hi Linda & Rae. It is always such a pleasure hosting you both - we hope to continue doing so for many years to come. All the best until next time!
