Now back home, our group of four often think backs to the two delightful hikes we went on with Eva and Paul Sylvestre's Nature in Focus. The two of them work as a great team: both are easy to get along with and very friendly. Paul walks in front, Eva stays in the rear with those whose pace is a bit slower. They stopped often to inform us, in turn!, about the wildlife and plant life and geological history of the Banff area. We will not forget montane and subalpine and alpine zones, Moss Campion, Mountain Avens, Indian Paintbrush, the friendly Fir and the spiky Spruce , Buffalo berries (beloved of bears) and the telephone bird. Our eyes and ears were certainly better trained for subsequent walks in other areas. We even met some friendly wildlife! Eva and Paul are very experienced guides and we very much felt in safe hands with regards to decisions about weather conditions and where to hike to. They were even armed with bear spray so we could let go of our worry about meeting a bear up close and personal ( everyone we told we were going to the Canadian Rockies mentioned bears...). Eva and Paul told us they have never met a bear on their many hikes, by the way. Thanks again Eva and Paul for the wonderful memories. Hope we meet again.

Paul & Eva are just wonderful. I was researching Guides in the area to take my Mum and I on a hike, and from the get go I knew Nature In Focus were the ones to choose.

Paul was quick to email me back answering all my questions and he came across as so friendly, professional and helpful.

We spoke on the phone the evening before as the weather was looking iffy, and the next morning, and they were extremely accommodating and would have worked around the weather for us. We decided to press on with our hike and met at 8am at Stanley Glacier. It was so good meeting early as we didn't come across anyone in the trail for 3 hours!

Paul timed the stops perfectly - he would stop to point out an interesting fact about the flora and fauna whilst we caught our breath. The pace was perfect and they brought us walking poles complimentary!

The information about the area from Paul and Eva was so interesting and really enhanced the hike. They are wonderful people and It will forever be such a memorable experience and I hope we can come and hike with you again soon.

We went with two persons hiking to Stanley glacier with Paul. He knew very much about nature, geology, and could tell great stories. He also had a great sense of humor, We loved walking with him en talking about nature in both Canada and Europe, Paul, thank you for a lovely day. All things you told us were useful during our holiday afterwards. We spotted a great deal of animals( no marmot unfortunately) and recognized all the plants. We advise everybody to book a trip early in your holiday, to use the knowledge. We went also early in the morning to have more chance of spotting wildlife.

Paul is gregarious, Eva is sweet, both are extremely knowledgeable and are wonderful to have as guides. They relate well to both adults and kids, they point out interesting things along the way, and we felt absolutely safe with them around! The weather changed drastically during our hike and we completely trusted their judgment on how to handle it. We probably won't be back in Banff for another several years, but a hike with Nature in Focus will definitely be on the agenda.

We hiked with Eva Sylvestre to the Sunshine Meadow. Paul had an injury so Eva hiked with us solo. We don't feel like we missed anything having her as our lone guide. The recommendation that we do the Sunshine Meadow was perfect. It was exactly the kind of hike my husband and I were looking for. It had beautiful scenery and enough adventure to suit us. Eva was an outstanding guide. Her pace was perfect for us and she took us off the beaten track so that we saw very few hikers for a good portion of the trip. Her knowledge of the flora and fauna was excellent. We learned a lot. Eva and Paul's communication with us prior to the trip was timely and informative. This hike was one of the highlights of our trip to Banff/Lake Louise. I would highly recommended Nature in Focus for a personalized guided hiking experience.
