“A gem in the Dordogne !”
Reviewed 14 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed for a week in September with family and had a fantastic time.
The property La Vielle Grange is really spacious and comfortable and great for a family of four or six as every couple gets their own bathroom, something missing in a lot of other property's .
We had previously in Le Pigeonier the year before as a couple and were so impressed that we had to return.
Lesley and John the owners made us feel so welcome and gave us plenty of information on the area ,which included a couple of lovely vineyards for wine tasting. The quality of these wines were superb.
The Sunday morning market in Issigeac is a must for food and wine lovers and has a great atmosphere . The village returns to its peaceful self during the week and is a lovely place for a spot of lunch or just a coffee or a beer in a local bar . Return to the Domaine in the afternoon to chill out by the lovely pool.
Bergerac is close by and visits to Chateau Monbazillac and Montpazier are a must.
Looking forward to next year.

“Fabulous”
Reviewed 14 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We recently stayed here for two weeks at the end of August extending into September. It was a great stay. The property is spacious, comfortable and very well laid out. The bedrooms are very French in style but with the benefits of excellent beds, mattresses and bed linen. The kitchen and lounge area are very well thought out with lots of seating and comfy sofas.
There is an excellent outside terrace and barbecue with superb views of St Cernin de Labarde. We spent several evenings enjoying a barbecue whilst savouring the views and beautiful sunsets.
There is plenty of outside space with a huge pool with lots of sunloungers and seating. The pool area is very well laid out with hedging providing both privacy and helping to create a sun trap.
The owners Lesley and John live discretely onsite in a separate building but the property is designed to provide privacy and it's great having them around if there are any issues or if you want advice about the surrounding area.
The property is less than 5 minutes drive from Issigeac that has several restaurants, a bank, boulangerie, coffee shop etc. Issigeac has a great Sunday morning market. There is a lot to do in the surrounding area with many interesting towns, monuments, caves and a variety of activities such as cycling and canoeing.
I cannot recommend this property highly enough.
