This hotel is very clean and well kept. The staff is courteous and helpful. It is a beautiful property. If you leave the housekeeping staff a small tip every day, you get even better service than the already great care they take to keep your room spotless. It is a 40 minute bus ride to the old town section of PV. If you just want to stay in, or take a shuttle to the other resorts nearby, it is a good choice. The food is adequate, but nothing stellar at all. We did try some of the nearby restaurants, especially the Laguna and Eddie's and they were good choices. There is nightlife (musical entertainment or dancing) in some of the hotels nearby, but not this one. This area really caters to Americans and Canadians, so you will not get a feel for anything authentically Mexican. The timeshare people are pushy. If you are not interested in buying, just say NO to attending a presentation. You will have to be firm about it and walk away. They don't even give you your room key until they try to talk you into going to a *free* breakfast the next morning. There is a free shuttle from the airport, but you have to request it in advance of arrival, or you will pay about $25 US to get to the property. The cost of internet service is outrageous, especially if you just want to use one of the computers in the store downstairs. The pool is warm and lovely, especially in the evening when all the "activities" stop. There are beautiful lounge chairs under grass huts on the beach, and the sand is a soft delight. Overall, a lovely place to decompress.
