Famliy and friends visited the resort on Oct 7th to the 14th we were 13. We had the most fabulous vacation. Leno at the pool bar was awesome and well as Esmeralda and Morgan were our poolside servers and gave us the best service. Elias by the pool the chef was amazing loved his cooking. Edgar at the restaurant as well as Norma were very attentive to all our needs and made our breakfast the best. The gentlemen that delivered our room service by the name of Luis Galindo was always on time. We had very good service at the ZIN restaurant by Orlando the chef Iseral came to our table to ask how our food was we all said excellent and thank him . We have been going to the Hard Rock since it open and the general manager Luis and Carlos have always made sure everything was ok. This year seven extra family and friends went with us. We are all going back next October so Hard Rock get ready!!!! Don't want to forget to mention Josh and Oscar the bell men up front and the rest of the guys up front are doing and excellent job. THANKS to everyone that made the vacation the bomb

We have stayed at the Dominican HR about 10 times and the Mayan location a couple of times, however this was our first visit to the Nuevo site and we could not have been more pleased. Our other experiences have been, for the most part, very good, however it was evident just from the pre-travel communication that this particular site was taking service to a entirely new level. There were so many little details that were paid attention to such as asking us our favorite drink and then having it ready upon arrival, the wonderful chocolate/sweets plate that arrived every afternoon to our room, having a representative at the airport for our departure to ensure our check-in for boarding went smoothly.

Our butlers Alan, Miguel, Gerardo and Javier were so kind, helpful and thoughtful. We have had great butler experiences in the past however these young men were exceptional. They were always so pleasant and the team effort approached worked flawlessly!

We wanted to make special note of a few others on resort who took service to an exceptional level. Marty at the poolside, serving us in the cabanas, was beyond service oriented. We drank mineral water as opposed to alcohol and she arrived every hour or so with fresh drinks. She was friendly and attentive without being intrusive that we could not have asked for more. Canario, her work partner, was equally exceptional. He was outgoing, friendly and like Marty would just stop by to check-in and for a quick chat.

The restaurant Ciao should have special recognition, not just for their food (which was the best Ciao in our opinion of the 3 Hard Rocks we have stayed at!) but for the very friendly and attentive service. We ate at Ciao for 3 of our dinners because the menu options were so wonderful we wanted to try it all! We wanted to make special mention of Juan who manages Ciao and took customer experience very seriously. He checked on us regularly and would chat and laugh, Gilberto who provided us with special attention and great fun while serving us, Lauro who was attentive and very sweet and Octavio the chef who was making the very best meals. This group went out of their way to make our eating experiences exceptional including offering to make us special meals not on the menu (which we did not do because the menu is fabulous) and bringing us special desserts they made up for us.

Lastly there was one minor issue on resort and to our surprise the manager on duty Paty and the Marketing Manager (sorry I have blanking on his name, but a lovely young man) came to speak to us to hear our concern. We were so surprised by the level of interest of management staff and impressed when they followed up a few days later to ensure that were we not still concerned about the matter. This is the first experience where it appears that Legendary and property management seemed to cooperate seamlessly. We have heard of and experienced some tensions at the other 2 resorts.

We have always loved the large property site in the Dominican and all that it offers. Now we have experienced the small property site in Nuevo and love it because it offers a more intimate experience. We will definitely keep using all 3 of the sites but choosing which one depending on what we wish our experience to be.

Spa experience is 10/10. Always a highlight of my trip. Aesthetically pleasing beautiful spa With a sauna, steam shower, hot tub, ice bath and lounge. Great service. Rosy and Ahidi created a peaceful and wonderful relaxation massage day.

It was an amazing experience it was sad to leave but we will be returning back next year to see our new friends here. Thank you to all the workers that took care of us especially to Leno Flores Bartender,Victor, Orlando, Esmael, Luis, Esmerala -Pool Waitress, Morgan Pool Waiter, The Market, Norma, Yohana, Alma,Eduardo,Luis, Rolon, Antonio,Francisco,Jorge,Alejandro,Mayber,Claudia,Rosario, Isela,Alberto,Gerardo,Magaly,Karina,Elena,Joya,Miriam,Conineras,Paulita,Lesley. This was our second trip here, and it will not be our last. Everything was perfect, down to little details, they nailed it. The staff there is second to none, and they all went out of their way to make sure that everyone was having a great time.
The bartenders Gael, Johnny, Rigo, and Steve kept the pool hopping, and were some of the hardest worker there.
The activities staff was amazing too, from water aerobics to poolside games, to crazy costumes, they made sure the vibe was fun and people were enjoying themselves. Gabby, Manu, Martin, Diego, Alberto, Tete, and luz all kept smiles on guests faces, from poolside to costumes in the evening. Speaking of poolside, Sergio was always there to get you a towel or anything you needed, and Marty and Vidrio were bringing you food and fresh drinks all day.
We went for my wife’s birthday, and they had a cake for her at breakfast, and another one for dinner, we truly felt like and were treated like rock stars.
The shows at night were fantastic too! From the fire to Michael Jackson, they were well done and everyone enjoyed them.
This time, I also did the memorabilia tour with Martin, I highly recommend the tour, he highlighted all of the rock memorabilia with stories about bands and how the items ended up at the hotel.
The one and only complaint we had was that the resort has followed California in getting rid of plastic straws. That is fine and dandy if you are drinking beer or soda, it really stinks if you are drinking frozen drinks, especially of you have facial hair. We were able to get a pack of straws, and I kept one behind my ear, but not only is that not sanitary, but its kind of ridiculous at a 5 star all inclusive resort.

Room Tip: not all rooms have a balcony, so request that if thats important to you.
