my room was very clean and tidy, a fan, steam iron and ironing board were provided along with a tea and coffee making kit.
there was 11 of us in total, we booked dinner for 7.30, and spot on time, we were ushered into the dining room. We selected our various meals and I'm pleased to report that we all served almost simultaneously (no one starts until all are served in our group) so we all had a hot meal, even the plates were warmed.
The staff were very pleasant young people who couldn't do enough for the guests and the manager, Wayne, was also a most pleasant and efficient person. In short, I will be returning there in the future.

We have recently returned from a 2 night stay at the Damson Dene hotel. We had a lovely time and would definitely re-book when we come back to the Lakes.

The hotel is in a great location for the Kendal area and we drove to Hilltop House, Beatrix Potter World within a short amount of time, and also went a bit further afield to Whinlatter Forest for a Gruffalo Trail which was great. The windy roads around the hotel are what you expect in this area and I took some incredible photos looking down on the Lakes!

The hotel's amenities were a real plus point for us. Our 3.5 year old daughter loved being able to swim every day. The pool is lovely and clean with a fab jacuzzi (as tested by my husband) and is just the perfect size for a small hotel. My husband used the gym 2 mornings and was happy with the range of equipment available.

The breakfast was thoroughly enjoyable, with a good selection and really tasty fresh food. It was a relaxed place to eat and our daughter thought it was funny to eat breakfast whilst watching the ducks at the window!! We had one evening meal in the hotel. The choice was good, the prices were reasonable and the food was lovely and served quickly. We decided to eat in the bar area as we had just come back from a busy day out, and we felt relaxed and comfortable in there while we ate.

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and we enjoyed a morning walk around the pond area. Our daughter thought it was fantastic to see all the ducks, especially the ducklings, and had fun running around enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.

We stayed in room 2, which was clean and comfortable. Our daughter loved that her bed was in a separate part of the room, which she thought was very grown up!! The bed was comfy (very important as I am 7 months pregnant!) and we felt there was plenty of room for belongings etc.

All staff were friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a really lovely stay. This was our first visit to the area, and when we return we will come back to you.
