“Just beautiful.. A Must visit”

A MUST when visiting North Stradbroke Island. The views from various vantage points are just beautiful... clear blue sky and turquoise water. We went in April and the water was clear. On the gorge we even saw turtle.

The walk is about 1.2 KM long and require fair effort; however, the whole track consist of very well constructed boardwalk and most sections looks fairly new. We completed the circuit fine and there were couple families with very young children and stroller in our party (there are sections with short steps, but can lift the stroller easily). On some sections you could go off the walk way to get nearer the cliff edge, but need to be careful.

There were plenty of photo opportunities as the views just stunning. Allow about 1 hour to complete the circuit including photo taking. Bring plenty of water as the only water fountain at either end of the walk. We started the walk on the Southern end by the parking lot (turn left just after the playground to get to parking lot). When we complete the circuit, we came out by the shop area and to top up great walk, we had amazing gelati from Oceanic Gelati across the street.

A spectacular walk, doesn’t take long and worth every step! Each time I’ve done this walk I’ve seen either dolphins, whales, turtles or sharks in the crystal clear water. Finish this off with a gelato at the end of the walk and it’s near perfect!!!

When we first did this walk with our kids it was quite an adventure. Over the years it has been "tidied up" and is now a well maintained boardwalk for most of the way. A bit sad but probably more in tune with Australia's risk averse atmosphere today and our own advancing years. However the views are still stunning and the atmosphere invigorating. Allow around half an hour for the walk with longer if you take the diversion down to the rocks. Be careful if the waves are high - dont get washed off - especially since some low life has stolen, destroyed or otherwise removed the life saving flotation rings.

This walk is just at the last stop of the bus that you take at the pier when you arrived at the island, its beautiful, the views are amazing and we found some kangaroos on the way. The walk is located between two beaches, frenchman at the north and main beach in the south, unfortunately both were closed for swimming the day we went so we had to take the bus back to home beach. Great day!!

Just arrived on NS island & while waiting for my Airbnb in Point Lookout parked up and took a stroll:

What a stunning place and so accessible on a very well maintained boardwalk

BUT

for me just watching the waves roll in & break over the rocks & up the gorge was mesmerising. The colour of the water the motion & the noise was incredible. Plus got to see a few ‘roos’ hopping about in the undergrowth
