Owner description: Beautiful white sand beach with calm, sheltered waters perfect for diving and snorkeling.
Reviewed 6 April 2018 via mobile

Went a few times on vacation. One of few non rocky beaches with softer sand. Had a hard time finding it.

PSA: To get there get off an Palmilla resort off hwy 1 (make left on top of ramp if headed south) and head through the columns and down the hill to beach towards the one and only Palmilla beach signs. Good soft sand, mild waves. Not a lot of amenities and there are some vendors that rent umbrellas. Could do without the constant vendor badgering for hats/bracelets.

The beach is gorgeous. Soft sand but with rocks in the water. Very swimmable and a nice little reef for snorkeling. You can rent an umbrella and chair for $15. No food. No drinks. Bring everything you think you need. Clean bathrooms and showers. Easy and amble parking. Lifeguard.

Pros: perfect for family with kids. Lots of locals. Gorgeous views.

Cons: LOTS of kids, families and no umbrella-side service. We kinda felt out of place and frequent travelers. We stayed for about 30 minutes and wanted to go. If you’re looking for hip cool Cabo people watching with delicious libations and good food nearby. This ain’t it.

Waves are fun but not too big for children. Quite swimable. I even saw some fish with mask and snorkel despite the waves. Nice bath house (looks new) with wash rooms and outdoor showers. No food so bring your own.

Personally I feel this is the nicest beach in San Jose - San Lucas area. Gentle gradient into the water, seldom rough waves, ample parking, life guards and decent restrooms and showers. No restaurant as of yet but I’ve heard talk of that possibility.

There is a cove that is very calm. And great for paddle boarding. We saw a whale right off the point. Outside of the cove the waves were intense. And there was an out break of a small stinging jellyfish while we were there.
