Paid for Room with 2 beds - recieved Room with 1 bed
At the Hotel property we paid $170 + $30 hidden fees for 2 ATVs - received just 1 ATV and no money back.
Filed the Guest Report - The Hotel never followed up. The food is nothing special, you have to be lucky to have a dinner at the restaurant, which are always booked and the only thing you can eat is a buffet. They treat people like naive tourists. Beside the view there is nothing astonishing about the resort.

For the first time last year 2017 we stayed at the RIU Santa Fe, from the start at check in the employees were cordial and helpful. We requested a change in our room and the manager took on the task of securing a new room and making sure we were happy with the outcome. The food was great and every employee from the management, to the waite staff, to housekeeping were all fantastic. We have recommended this hotel to friends and have heard nothing but good in return. We will go back

This resort is MASSIVE! super easy to get lost lol. The grounds were clean and pretty. I love the desert look, so this was my kind of resort! When I finally found our room, it was an average room. Everything was clean and comfortable. Surprisingly the bed was awesome. The bathroom was always stocked with towels and soaps. we had a fridge that was always kept full with water, coke and, beer. They had tequila in the room, but it was open and I was a little weird about that. The balcony faced the other building and the pool. Had a little bit of the ocean view, but mostly the people across the way.

This resort is NOT A FAMILY TYPE RESORT. It is more of a party resort. LOTS of people and young people. They do have children areas, but there was a lot of bachlelorette and Bachelor parties going...so I will leave that to you to think what was going on =).

The pool is AMAZING and the views from the resort or looking up at the beach is really fabulous. There was plenty to eat from. There are several buffet type areas where you can eat. Also a couple of restaurants that you need reservations for. I would book those as soon as you get there, because they fill up fast.

There is a night club there at the resort, and LOTS of gift shops. They had an ATM there but it was a little sketchy.

The pool area get packed too and so I would go pretty early to get a spot!

Room tip: Book for building 7!

The rooms are great (plenty of space and very clean). Food and drinks at the resort are good. Staff were very helpful and liked to have fun as well. :) The views of the arch are spectacular (especially from the infinity pool or the beach). Everything is close enough to visit if you want to see the marina or downtown yet far enough away if you want to relax and stay to yourself. I cannot wait to go back (super fun for all ages). Bonus... we went in late March 2018; therefore, we just missed the "spring breakers."

Room tip: All rooms are great even if you're not on the first floor (no elevators that I remember seeing).

We booked this resort last minute.Travelled a group of 3 couples Jan 2018. We've been to Cabo San Lucas in the past and we have stayed at a Riu Property in Dominican in the past. We got an amazing deal on this property, and the weather was amazing! This resort did get hit by Hurricane Irma and hit badly, but they cleaned it up and you could barely tell by the time we went in Jan. There is construction and they work quite late, and even in the dark, some buildings are likely affected by this if you go to bed early. We were in building 6 and had no affect.
We Loved the lay out of this resort, with the courtyard gathering area with bars, disco, shows, buffet, sports bar and other restaurants.
FOOD-We found the food to be really good. We liked that you didn't have to pre-book your a-la-carte dinners. You go at 6, put your name on a list and they give you a buzzer. We never waited more than 30 mins. The Buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners in the courtyard, by the quiet pool and down near the beach pools were all good with a great variety. We really liked the daily bbq down near the beach pools.
POOLS-It was nice to have a variety of pools. The one up near the rooms and courtyard was quieter, playing country music and never hard to find a lounger. There for technically 4 down by the beach. The first swim up bar pool was a party pool and had loud music and infinity pool with seats and tables in the pool. The middle pools were activity pools, both with loungers and one an infinity pool overlooking the beach. This was nice for hanging out, on the other side of this pool was an identical infinity swim up bar to the first and it was a great hang out pool as well. We always found loungers around the pools.
BEACH- There were always loungers on the beach, there were a lot of sales people on the beach, but you could barter with them and get some great deals. We booked our lovers beach taxi from one of them and they took us on a little tour around the arch and seal cove etc. as well. You are not to swim in the Ocean as the current is strong, but the beach is wonderful to walk.
ROOMS-The rooms were not the largest we've stayed in, but were clean, well stocked and plenty of towels. The in room safe worked well! We tip our maid daily.
SHOWS-The shows were typical resort shows, non blew us out of the water, but we enjoyed them. There was entertainment in the courtyard before the shows and some of the bands were quite good and had people up dancing and singing.
WIFI-We had wifi pretty much throughout the resort and a bit on the beach. It was a hit and miss down there though.
TOWN-Us 3 ladies took a cap from the lobby to the town for shopping and Cabo Wabo. We went to the market, mall, Cabo Wabo, Starbucks and the marina and had a great time. We felt safe!

We usually travel with our girls now 11 and 9 and I would take them here only if I got a great deal, otherwise I don't recommend. There were not a lot of kids and there was quite a bit of partying. I suggest hanging at the pool by the courtyard, but it may be different depending on the week.

Room tip: Building 6 was in a great location and away from construction
