This is hands down the best resort in Cabo. Everything about the place is first-rate - the location, the staff, the rooms, the afternoon guacamole service, the tunnel... If you can afford it and don't mind spending an insane amount of money on a resort room, you can't go wrong. Note that the beach in is too rough for swimming, but here's my tip to make this trip super-special beach-wise: if you are in decent shape, pack a small backpack with towels, hat, and closed toe shoes (and snorkel/mask/fins if you have them) and then walk south along the beach to the very end. When you reach the rocks at the very end of the beach, switch to your shoes and climb over the two sets of rocks and you can get to lovers beach, which is truly amazing (pacific on one side, sea of Cortez on the other). It's a bit of a climb but I did it in flip flops so not death-defying. People were surfing on the pacific side and the sea of Cortez side is a safe swim that we had all to ourselves. Truly amazing. Then walk back and get yourself a mojito and ceviche by the pool and all will be good in the world.
The resort is insanely expensive room-wise (food and drinks were pretty standard resort prices) and it is maybe fair to argue that it is not worth paying this much for room in Cabo when you could go elsewhere in Mexico or Hawaii and get a great room for literally half the cost, but Cabo is close to California and if you have limited time and don't mind the cost, this place is amazing.
