As an owner of this resort for 9 years, having this trip be our 4th trip here, I am giving the resort a 3 star. When we bought, it would have most definitely been a 5 star on hospitality, cuisine, grounds maintenance , room cleanliness and spa services. I am giving a 3 star for this trip...2 stars off for hospitality and grounds maintenance. The pools definitely need some maintenance as the tiles are falling off. Although the kids found entertainment in finding the little blue tiles all over the pool, there may be a bit of a safety issue here. As for hospitality, if you don’t mind waiting for at least 40 minutes to be served, either pool side or in the restaurants, then you should not mind. We’d wait for an order of Churros for the same amount of time it took to get a whole meal delivered to our table. As for poolside, we arrived one day at 11:00 to find absolutely no chairs available; no worries we thought, we’d get there earlier the next day to reserve like everyone else. So, we did. Arrived at 8:00, towels on almost all the chairs except the few we were going to hold before an employee explained to us that we have to reserve the seats with a guy in a blue shirt. We proceeded to look for a guy in a blue shirt and asked around, apparently there is NO guy in a blue shirt reserving chairs. Everyone just told us to get there early and hold a chair like everyone else. Day 3, we got there at 7:00! We got 6 chairs for our party of nine! Yay! Finally!! After breakfast, we went back town to the pool to find all but 3 of our chairs taken. The employee, Leonardo, said that we can’t reserve seats. That if you leave for 15 minutes we can have our seat taken. He then referred us to the posted sign. The sign reads that there is no reservations of lounge chairs, but with no time limit. 15 minutes, really? So, if the family next to me, who admittedly moved our personal items to take our chairs, go swimming in the pool for more than 15 minutes, I can take their chair as per Leonardo? We explained to Leonardo that if everyone were to do this, there would be a lot of unhappy customers around his pool. Not sure how to remedy this situation, or provide advice to those venturing an upcoming vacation to this resort, except to get to the pool at 7:00 am and NOT leaving until you’re ok with someone stealing your seats. Besides the tiles falling off the pool sides, and the stealing of poolside chairs from guests, we enjoyed the resorts variety of cuisines on the all-inclusive package, the free use of the spa’s sauna and relaxation room, and the suite services welcoming us home to a clean room....our party of 4 adults and 5 kiddos had a fun time in the Cabo sun!

I have stayed at all Pueblo Bonito Hotels in Cabo. This is my third visit to Sunset. The service has been consistent and exceptional over the years. I think this is a reflection of management investment in employees. In return the employees are happy and offer exceptional service to guests. From the golf cart driver Delfino at Sunset who remember our last visit and our preferences, Alberto at Pacifica who made sure our family members were comfortable, Joquim at the gate at Pacifica, always smiling and ready to converse. Fabiola at La Frida, always smiling with a great sense of humor, who adds to the delight of our meal. Alicia at the deli, who makes such delicious sandwiches and takes pride in her work. Rafael at the Copala Clubhouse who walked our lunch over to the house when we were busy having furniture delivered and could not leave. Edgar who rides around Copala and is there to help us bring our grocery and appliances into our villa. These persons and many others are likely unknown to top management, but they are frontline employees which make this organization exceptional.

We just got back from a great week at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in Cabo. We decided to try the all inclusive plan this year at Sunset Beach. We had great service and very hospitable waiters everywhere we went throughout the resort, but Alejandro Garcia at the Sky Pool was amazing. He was a lot of fun and went above and beyond in bringing us food, drinks and COLD beer. Thank you for another wonderful week of fun and relaxation. Can't wait for next year.

We stayed at PBSB for 6 nights without the all-inclusive. It's a extremely beutiful property and very well maintened. The food and beverage was fantastic for an all-inclusive resort. We wanted to be able to dine in town was the only reason we didn't opt for the inclusive plan. In the end we ate most meals at the resort. Many pools to choose from, the fun lab was a big hit for our son. I would recommend this property to a family, it is so easy to find something for all ages.

The staff throughout the resort are incredibly gracious and make you feel welcomed - and there is a lot of staff. We prefer the Presidential type of suites - the Junior is more like a traditional hotel room although they all have beautiful patios. The property is kept immensely clean. they provide shuttle to their other properties for you to get a change of venue and not have to worry about negotiating the city/traffic yourself. I personally don't recommend a car rental - been that route with an unfavorable experience. The resort will help you find transportation, even with someone that will help you tour and stay with you which, personally, I would highly recommend. All of the pools have bar and poolside menus - but not all of the menus are the same and I guess you find that out by default. There are adult only pools which is very nice and then there are pools where you are not likely to see a lot of children because they do have the kid appeal to them - almost as good as another adult pool unless you are traveling with children. Mini transportation vehicles on the property - seat about 8 depending on your size - and you can catch them all over and/or call for them no matter which building you are in. You cannot swim in the beach at this property but you can shuttle to another property that you do have beach swimming access - the tide is too unpredictable at this property but the walk along the beach is gorgeous and always has a nice breeze. We use Cabo Shuttle Services which we book in advance and have stop at the WalMart on our way but there are small grocery type of options on the property and the prices are decent. Presumably most people will opt to eat out but nice to have some fruit and breakfast stuff in your fridge:) Beds and pillows are quite comfortable - and fortunately all you are doing is sleeping in those rooms but, if you want TV, they have a lot of channel options and PPV. Wifi a little pricey but, hey, you are a captive audience. If you are going to Cabo, we say look no further.

Room Tip: We just don't believe you can go wrong with location but we would encourage you to look at a one bedroom or Presidential
