I understand that the options for a nights sleep in this area are limited, that being said, someone has to do better than the Mountain View Inn is doing. The rooms are clean, but dated. The beds are saggy and uncomfortable. The towels are plentiful but scratchy. Our first night was very quiet and we slept well. On the second night, the management put a family of 8 in the rooms on either side of us. Not a good idea, as the people were up all night walking back and forth between the rooms. Walls are thin, so we could hear them talking, and were privy to every sound as all eight of them used the privy! The food is passable, but they charge NY prices. They would only give us an even exchange when we paid with American dollars, even though the exchange rate, at the time was US $1 / Can $1.27. Disappointing.

I find some of the negative reviews strange because we only paid £75 for our night here which is a lot less than holiday inns or hamptons hotels, so what do people expect for that. Our room was clean and everything worked except the bug screens. There was a bit of a list to the floor which meant we sped up as we walked to the bathroom door, but hey-Ho, I've stayed in a few b & b's in the uk where the slope was so bad I had to hold on to the edge of the mattress to stop myself falling out of bed. Oh, and the wi-fi did work but very slowly, no coffee making thingy which is a shame. If you can't have a laugh while you travel and expect a lot for £75 better not stay here.

Hotel is ok but it's not worth the cost. Stayed in 2 single bed room. Amenities are old but clean. TV is small about 20+ inches AC is just a window unit. Could use an upgrade. JFYI although this has nothing to do with the hotel at this location there is no cell reception. Hotel has free wifi.

WIFI very slow/non-existent. Lots of pillows but no coffee maker. Coffee was available in the morning in the office. No fridge. Air conditioner needed freon so it was a white-noise-maker+fan. No light switch for the room - each light needs to be individually turned on and off. Rather outdated place but it worked for us. The two double beds were comfortable.

Worst beds I've ever slept in.very outdated beds cottage was clean with new linens the persons before us had fish in the fridge the juice leaked under the crispers and wasn't cleaned, left a bad order we cleaned up ourselves The bathroom door wouldn't close. The heat didn't work and it was cold the night we stayed. Have to admit they were doing repairs to the property and in time probably be a good place to stay I would avoid staying there again until all updates were complete.
