Description: The wagamama story our story began in 1992, when we opened our first restaurant in bloomsbury, london. We wanted wagamama to offer the kind of fresh, fast food and relaxed atmosphere you get in japanese noodle bars. We've gradually grown into a much-loved family of restaurants that spans 17 countries our dublin's city centre restaurant opened it's doors in 1998, being the first wagamama franchise in the world. In july 2011 our fifth irish wagamama opened in dundrum shopping centre

Simply good healthy food. Neat clean and very Oriental looking venue. Was buzzing with couples families and friends all happy to line up to eat here, which says a lot for an establishment in this Irish weather.
Food was reasonably priced, green tea is free and many healthy options from food to drinks. The spice rate is clearly indicated and staff are well able to guide and answer questions.
We had the prawn and coconut soup with noodles and ur was delicious, while other in our party tried the Chicken Ramen soup and the portions were huge. The prawn fried dumplings were lovely but mind the soya sauce as it was too salty for my taste. Dumplings themselves were just delicious. Wonderful meal for a cold rainy day. Five stars for this one!

Hi Fiona. Great comments! Thank you. We agree, it's great to be in the restaurant with its buzzy atmosphere, especially in the cold Irish weather! Complimentary green tea is a big hit on days like this! Hope to see you back soon.

Kind regards
Brian Smyth

I've always been a fan of Waga's from its 1st day of opening way back.

It's unit in the basement of Stephens green shopping centre has recently undergone a makeover that's left it looking like a Chanel Handbag with the seats covered in quilted diamond design leather and the lighting has been seriously dimmed to add to the affect.

Not sure if I'm a fan of the new decor but only time will tell.

The food is still the same, good as always (although the portions of the sides have gotten smaller for example, the prawns have shrunk) and the floor staff are well trained and attentive.

Ps...go go the Chicken Katsu mains, it's fab...

Hi Michael. We'll be sure to pass on your comments to our colleagues at wagamama South King Street in Dublin. Their recent makeover has proved a huge hit. As has the ever-present Chicken Katsu Curry you mentioned! Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Arwa.
Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your chicken dish. We serve only the freshest chicken sourced through a local supplier. We typically serve over 2000 chicken dishes a week with some great feedback from our guests. I'm confident your next dish will be more to your liking.

Kind regards
Brian Smyth

If you're in Dundrum & looking for a Speedy & (relatively )Healthy option for lunch or dinner then wagamama is s great destination. It's not a place you'll hang around and laze over your dinner / drinks ,,, but they provide consistent good quality dining.

The menu has multi options so there's something for everyone. It's not an authentic Japanese dining experience but who cares ! You're likely to be in Dundrum shopping or going to the cinema so it fits the bill perfectly.

They're also excellent with food allergies - they have the ingredients and allergies all documented for you to review.

They've another city centre location & service and food are also to the same standard.

We came here for early dinner. Managed to get cubicle seats which were more comfy than the benches, although slightly too close to the open kitchen. We all enjoyed the food though the service could be better.

Hi. Thanks for your comments. I'm glad you managed to get one of our booth style tables, they are really popular. The open kitchen is also a great attraction for many diners. I'm sure we can make the service part of your visit more memorable on your next visit.
