What a beautiful beach but we came here on a Monday after the weekend of merriment and this beach and parking lot were covered with trash and beer cans. Shame on the tourists and locals that treat the beaches in SC as their personal dumpsters!

Pack a lunch, grab a drink and a chair and sit you butt on the beach and watch the waves and the birds under a bright sun surrounded by the "tetas" of San Carlos.

The beach itself was beautiful but how can you appreciate the beauty when there is trash everywhere! My family and I went there on a Monday in March and people had left dirty diapers, food wrappers and TONS of empty beer cans and bottles. Come on people!!! Why would you do something like that. It was disgusting!

Wind was blowing a good Westerly when we were in San Carlos, so went to Frenchies and as usual it was calm at the waters edge... Could see white caps out past the point but had a great afternoon swimming and diving in the cove...
Not one to miss...

Avoid entering where the big slippery rocks are. I saw multiple puffer fish, sea urchins, star fish, and many other fish. We tried to enter on the right side although there were a bunch of jellyfish at the time. It is really a beautiful area...the only downfall is the endless amount of trash in the area :(

I've visited and/or scuba dove this cove for over 20 years and love that it has not changed. Still rustic, quaint, quiet, and the beach relatively unaffected by tourism.

We did quiet a bit of snorkeling in Frenchie's, Lalo's and some other secluded beaches around San Carlos. Visited in March and only saw a handful of people at these beaches the whole week. My kind of beach.

Frenchie's and Lalo's coves are great spots on weekends or weekdays. Lalo's is on your right and Frenchie's on the left as you approach the beaches. The sandy road is fine unless you go too far onto Frenchie's beach. The snorkeling is okay in Lalo's Cove, with the best at either end. Local families come here to swim, bbq and relax on weekends. There are a few trees to park under also. Don't forget to pack your trash out and be an example.
