We stayed for four nights in Casa Zenaida with our four and half year old son last week. The casa was brand new and we were the first guests. It was a great experience from the start to the end. The owner Scott was very prompt in all his correspondences and the arrangement to meet the manager was very smooth. Boobie, who met us at the casa was a great help as she lived there for over 20 years and she even helped us to secure a babysitter for two days. The casa is centrally located on Solleno, Parque Juarez is down the street (it has a great outdoor playground by the way if you have small children) and the Jardin Principal is just mins walk away. Newly built, the casa was a modern version of a traditional colonial home. The elements of plain facade and the courtyard-centered living concept were preserved while all the modern comforts such as up-to-date kitchen and bathrooms were incorporated into the design process. It has two small courtyards that link the living and sleeping quarter with a separated master suite and a roof deck upstairs. It was decorated professionally with a wonderful taste that registers local aesthetics. All the furniture, beds and bedding are of high qualities, which made our stay very comfortable.
SMA is a magical place so we always looked forward to step out of the house. Yet at the same time, the house was such an oasis that it always beckoned us to come back after each days's exploration.
