My wife and I couldn't wait to try the Molcajete Mestizo and we were thrilled with the meal! The service and ambiance are great, and the food is amazing. The quality of the meat and the flavors are outstanding!

Food was good, not great. The location is what makes it, a view of the cathedral across the Jardin. Service was very good. The problem we have there, it has happened twice now, is. The live music is too loud, very difficult to have a conversation!

Molcajete is the name of the bowl used for thousands of years by pre-Hispanic Mesoamerican cultures, including the Aztec and Maya. It was traditionally carved out of a single block of vesicular basalt in a round shape supported by three short legs.

Los Milagros includes traditional molcajete dishes among its specialties. We chose the Molcajete Mestizo, which included carne asada, chicken, cheese, onion and cactus paddles, cooked and served up in a sizzling hot molcajete. It was terrific and there was plenty for two adults. We also split a traditional Caesar Salad. If you haven’t had a Molcajete, go to Los Milagros and try one of the best in San Miguel.
