This was my 14th (yes, you read that correctly) stay at Las Terrazas and I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. We think of it as our Mexican home and are made to feel that way also. I have stayed in Casa Mariposa 13 times and this time--since I was traveling without my husband--I stayed in Casa Colibri and it was wonderful. Greg, the owner, is now a dear friend and he is so welcoming to all his guests. The amenities are perfect; you really feel like you are in your own beautiful Mexican home, not a hotel. The food is delicious and the grounds are spectacular. The location can't be beat: a 5 minute walk downhill to the center of town, the Jardin and La Parroquia. We have referred several friends to Las Terrazas and they loved it as much as we do. I can't recommend Las Terrazas highly enough. Stay here; you definitely won't be sorry.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Las Terrazas is a complex of four private casas cascading down a hillside of bougainvillea, lilies, and vines. Ferns and massive philodrendrons fill the grotto. The sound of fountains is heard throughout. It is located an easy 5 minute stroll down cobblestone streets to the Jardin (town center.) Each casa is comfortable, beautifully furnished, and has a full kitchen. Each has an outdoor patio that is completely secluded. ... more less
