A bit of a delayed review as I traveled to San Miguel late October into early November for the Dia de los Muertos festivities. This was my 6th stay at Casa Misha and also returning stays for my husband and sister who joined on this trip as well. Another amazing stay at Casa Misha - perfection in all areas as we have come to know over the years! Tried and true you will never find a better place to stay in San Miguel. From the rooms to the staff to the margaritas to the chocolates on the pillows - no attention to detail is left unnoticed. We happily look forward to our next visit!

A boutique hotel that is remarkable because it has a stellar staff, delicious breakfast that includes edible art, two guys, Ed and Richard, who own the place and give it a flavor of home away from home, and a rescue dog named Susie. I think that's right, I kept waiting for Susie to introduce herself, but finally realized she is a dog. Anyway, I'm staying eight nights this trip, but will be back to take in this Casa once again, hopefully sooner than later. Oh, and by the way, the rooms are spectacular. We are staying in the Garden room with a patio that is marvelous. I like that it offers plenty of space, probably around 500 square feet, that includes a king bed made up with high end linens, a soaking tub, fireplace and lovely decoration and accouterments. It has the usual big screen and an enormous movie library from oldies to goodies? The terrace is amazing as well. The view is stupendous. Enjoy your breakfast there or at a variety of spots around the hotel. Everywhere you look, you will see a painting that needs to be painted! Check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Spent Thanksgiving 2016 at the fabulous Casa Misha. I booked the hotel after reading all of the fantastic reviews here, and they were spot on. Booking was quick and easy via email with Richard. He was also super helpful in setting up airport transportation for us. Magda was delightful and incredibly helpful with tips and tricks for navigating San Miguel and where to eat and shop. Our rooms were beautifully appointed and incredibly spacious. The bathroom in the Terrazza suite is truly lovely. Breakfasts were a treat each morning, served on different china sets. The food was delicious, kudos to the chef and his fruit plate designs! We also enjoyed cocktails each night in the lirbary, the staff can make a mean martini, michelada, or margarita! The location is ideal, on a quiet street just two blocks from the Plaza. I cannot recommend this gem highly enough.

Casa Misha does everything right.

Before our arrival, Richard and Magda attentively assisted with all of our requests – arranging drivers, recommending (and then making reservations for) activities and answering all of our questions.

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The garden room was our luxurious home for five days. The accommodations were impeccably clean with every detail and need considered. The bed was very comfortable. The double bath was a treat. We loved having breakfast served on our private patio in their beautiful garden – although it was equally delightful to have it on the rooftop patio overlooking the city.

The staff are friendly and helpful. After just one day, we felt like Juan 1, Ramiro, Juan 2 and Magda were all friends with us.

Not least, our hosts Richard and Edward are lovely people who took the time to get to know us, share stories and enhance our visit. We can't wait to visit again!

Room Tip: The Garden Room has a large bed and well-sized seating area, a fireplace, a huge bathroom and a lovely private patio.

This was my third trip to San Miguel and second at Casa Misha. I cannot say or recommend Casa Misha enough. Beautifully decorated, superb staff, and perfectly located, not to mention an epic margarita. Wonderful stay this time and always for future trips!
