We have stayed here 7 times in three years, totalling 30 nights, and have found it excellent each and every time. We have tried three different rooms, all very different and beautifully appointed, very hard to choose betwen them, partly to ensure we have more options when booking, if the hotel is busy. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful, we regard them all as good friends now. Family members have referred to this hotel as our 'second home' a description we would agree with. The restaurant is always superb, have never had a meal we havnt thoroughly enjoyed, it is wonderful to have food cooked to perfection, especially the vegetables!
Looking forward to going again at least twice next year. A high proportion of the guests are repeat stayers (like us) so that tells you all you need to know!

Room tip: Some Courtyard rooms have own private gardens

Stayed four nights at this well placed country house and enjoyed the food, surroundings and trips into Snowdonia National Park. My wife enjoyed the fresh seafood on several nights (Lobster). I enjoyed the local meat dishes. The triple-cooked/fried potatoes were delicious. Meals were large and we often passed on the desserts. They were able to cater to my wife's gluten-free diet. Our room, in the courtyard (not attached to the main house) was very comfortable with a large bedroom, a walk-in shower, and access to a small outside garden area with patio. WiFi signal in our room was very good. The hotel is about a 15 minute drive to Llanberis, so access to hiking and other outdoor activities is easy.

If you had only one word to sum up Tyn Rhos it would be cosy. Everything from the lounges to the dining room to the bedrooms was cosy. If you are looking for a place to relax away from it all, this is the place. Having said that, you are within easy reach of Snowdonia and Anglesey. We stayed for two nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were superb. The room was very tastefully decorated and to use that word again, cosy.

My only criticism would be that we didn't have an evening meal because we felt it was too expensive for our taste. The menu looked lovely, however, once supplements were added and a bottle of wine, you are talking about £120 for two people.

Please don't be put off however, because there is plenty of choice of restaurants in Menai Bridge, which is only a short car ride away.

We were looking for a venue for a small family wedding. So pleased we chose the Tyn Rhos. The food was excellent and plentyful and the service was first class. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and made for a fantastic day. Thank you Tyn Rhos for making our day a very enjoyable experience.
