The location of this hotel is good. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was clean and spacious. We normally stay at Westin or the equivalent but since there wasn't anything like that we stayed here. Not luxurious but clean. The area is a bit noisy as you are in the middle of town. There are restaurants that are 2-3 blocks away and if you want to go to beach, they will let you have a bicycle for the day. Very nice bike ride and the ruins are only a 10-15 min bike ride away. Breakfast was not bad! Staff very nice and helpful.

Room Tip: all the same

Thank you so much for your review! We appreciate you choosing us and apologize for the noise in the city center; unfortunately, we can control very little of that. We are happy that you found our staff helpful and nice. We hope that you will choose us again in the future.

We booked this hotel via Hotwire and weren't sure what to expect. We needed someplace to crash for 2 days before going to our resort in Playa del Carmen. The front staff were awesome! So warm, fun, and welcoming. They helped us get settled, provided food recommendations, and in the morning helped us with bikes.

The rooms are large (we upgraded to a suite) and clean. The furnishings are not fancy by any stretch -- there is a futon in the living room for the "couch" and the dining area is a couple of benches -- but it was functional. It had a full kitchen with a fridge and a decent bathroom.

With its proximity to the beach, easy walking distance to restaurants, and overall warm atmosphere, I'd recommend to budget travelers looking for a nice place to stay.

Tip: If you want to buy liquor or beer, GoMart (the gas station on the main road) has a liquor store that is open late at night (I think to 1AM).

Room Tip: Rooms on the ground floor allow you to dip into the pool, but it's not heated. Up to you whether it's worth the extra charge.

We stayed here for a week. The room was spacious, clean and with a great bath and shower. The hotel is kept very clean, including the rooms and pool (which we always had to ourselves, as it seems to get little use). Fresh towels daily, and you can help yourself to beach towels to take to the beach. The breakfast was the perfect start - fresh and plenty. The staff are welcoming and clearly want to be helpful. They employ a sweet Canadian lady to oversee breakfast in the morning to communicate with English speakers. The hotel is a trek to the beaches, but that’s no fault of the hotel. I would recommend hiring a cheap car in advance, and taking advantage of the free parking to drive to the beach and back. Would come back if I were to stay in Tulum town again.

Cute, boutique hotel, good price, nice ambiance.

Located about 5-6 blocks to center of downtown Tulum and a 10-15 minute cab ride (100-150 pesos) depending on which hotel you are going to.

The only downfall was the noise, we were on the first floor.
1) The noise from passing cars is so loud in the middle of the night, you feel like they’re about to drive into the hotel.
2) The noise from people above us flushing or using the shower coming down made I️t feel like the ceiling was about to cave in.

We stayed here after a couple nights in a cabana on the beach. We were burnt, tired from not having slept due to no ac and poor airflow in our cabana, so we decided to spoil ourselves with a night at the LiveTulum.

The staff were very kind and helpful, the decor of the lobby and common areas was very interesting, and gave a very nice impression. The room was very clean, the AC worked wonderfully, the kitchenette was clean and functional. The bed was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was very clean as well.

It would be a great place to stay if you’re willing to head over to the nearby grocery store and grab some food to prepare in your room.

All in all, we loved our stay there and would go back in a second.
