Posada Margharita was an absolute delight after staying in rather tacky Cancun for a conference. Tastefully decorated rooms, friendly hosts, yummy food (home made pasta) at the restaurant - and all 10 m from the gorgeoys beach

My family has eaten at a lot of places during our Mexican holiday, and there's no doubt this is the best in town, but we all agreed that Posada Margherita was one of our best restaurant experiences anywhere. In short, great atmosphere, great food, great service.
From appetizers (especially the home made focaccia bread and the marinated coliflower) to main courses (including fresh homemade pasta, shrimp, lobster, fish), everything was absolutely delicious. Our waiter was friendly and professional and quite proud to be serving local produce (from the nearby farmers' market) and Italian wines.
The setting is casual and not stuffy and the atmosphere very relaxed.
We were completely delighted--not a single flaw to report. We can't wait to go back.

Loved this hotel. The staff were lovely, rooms were gorgeous and location is great. The boutique feel to the hotel makes it feel like a home away from home. Restaurant was pricey but good quality food and service.

This place is a gem and we will be returning VERY SOON! The Italian run hotel is right on the beach on an active strip with other hotels, restaurants and bars, but you still get a sense of privacy and solitude. It is the best restaurant in Tulum for Italian food - You must try the lobster pasta!! The complimentary antipasto of foccacia and cauliflower, cheese and pistachios were delicious, we looked forward to eating them everyday. The drinks were refreshing and made use of all the natural fruits and mexican tequila and mezcal. Pina made some awesome margaritas!! Federico, Alessandro, and Ever were extraordinary in their hospitality and attention to detail. It felt more like staying with family than a hotel. They catered to our every whim. The room was large and eco-chic, dim lighting and mosquito nets line the windows helping to keep the critters out. Bed was large and comfy with a fan right above the bed to keep us cool. The rest of the staff were just as friendly and accommodating, helping set up a tour of Sian Kaan biosphere were we saw various birds and even a crocodile. We stayed there in June and we had the incredible experience of seeing a turtle lay her eggs on the beach close by. Tulum is truly a treasure, undeveloped, natural with beautiful white sand and waves. How much we miss it already!! We would suggest getting bikes and riding to the ruins about a 15 minute bike ride and don't miss the food at Mezzanine and cabaret on Friday nights. We flew into cancun airport and organized a shuttle transfer through cancun shuttle it took about 1hr half to get to tulum, but it was a straight bump free rode. Remember no credit cards are accepted at posada and most other places in tulum.

Room Tip: Try to get rooms closer to the restaurant if you want a beach view we stayed closer to the entrance which was quieter.
