Service was the best. The room was perfect. Great location! Everything in that environment is perfectly arranged. Pure Bliss. Star Friends are fantastic artists (Itzel, Daniel, etc.). Meals are excellent, as are the hostesses (Cesiah and Rosy). Gym is great and with very good instructors (Luciana and Louis). Spa staff were extraordinary (Jolibeth and Karina). Loved the complete experience. Staff are all very pleasant and willing to assist (Santos, Osmar, Ricardo, Rosy).

Room Tip: Leave you complaints at home, you won't need them here.

Iberostar Playacar (Tucan & Quetzal) is a great place for families with kids. There is a well preserved rain forest into hotel. For kids is formative experience with animals and plants from Riviera Maya. For adults there is a temazcal and massage in same area. Awesome nature is paceful for everybody.
Pool and Beach are very funny with Star Friends Team, they are suitable for whole families. Restaurants (general and specialities) are very good with vast choices to enjoy meals.
It is a multicultural environment, but Friday has a great spectacular night with meals and activities to enjoy real Mexico! There is a piñata for kids!
It is near (5min by Taxi) to Ferry Station to go Cozumel Island. Also is close to other parks like Xcaret.

Very clean, pretty resort with beautiful beach and pools. Friendly service, although you need to know Spanish. Food is terrible. Like really bad. Both the buffet and resatuarants. Breakfast is doable but that’s about it. But The city of playa del Carmen has amazing places to eat so be willing to leave and explore the town despite paying the all inclusive fair and you’ll be ok.

Just returned from a two week stay and I want to go back again, never actually wanted to leave. This was my first time in Mexico and I was not sure what to expect.
When you get there you are greeted by some very friendly staff at check in. The waitress-staff always notice new arrivals and provide you with a refreshing drink, just what you need after a long journey.
The rooms to me were great, some people say they need updating but I say they are traditional. Look this is not your average/normal 4-5 Star hotel, it’s totally different than that. The lady that cleaned our room every day was great, each day she made a different animal out of the towels. Had a issue with the safe and they were there to sort very, very quickly. Another example of the great service.
I cannot believe anyone can complain about the food, it was fantastic and I enjoyed every meal. The restaurant were fantastic especially the Italian and Mediterranean. First time to try Japanese and it was great. Only one it did not rate was the stake house, but then again that might just be me.
The grounds and simply awesome with so many different animals, cant understand why people complain about the monkeys and peacock been noisy, what do you expect if you go to a jungle, the animals will be noisy, they are animals and we are invading their home for two weeks.
The pool is just massive and fantastic. Temp was great. Beech was fantastic, such white sand. Yes there was issues with seaweed but the hotel worked hard to clear it up. First few days people were reserving beds for hours at a time, some only turned up late in the afternoon. The staff sorted this out quiet quickly by placing notes on the beds, they also removed some which to me was absolutely fantastic, I wish more hotels would do this. I’m an early bird so it was great to have the pick of beds when I got to the pool, as it should be I say. Girls serving drinks work so so hard, please make sure you tip them. If you do they will look after you, they know when you want drink before you do
All in all to me this was a fantastic holiday and the staff are amazing, they all work so hard and always have a smile, please tip them as the wages in Mexico are low. The minimum wage in Mexico is about £3.80 a day, no not a typo £3.80 a day, staff then rely on tips. I hope management appreciates them.

Be warned if you go here on holidays your clothes will shrink, that’s my excuse anyway
