My wife and I are First Club Members and this two week vacation was on our Bonus Time. We stayed in a regular room and it was nice. Only complaint was the bed was so hard. Even with a mattress pad it was still very hard. The First Club Staff, as always was there to assist us on any questions, tours or whatever we needed. The buffet staff was as always, very friendly and could not do enough to make sure we were comfortable while eating. Again, I would recommend this resort to others.

Room Tip: The rooms are old and need some TLC. However, they are still comfortable to stay in. The only complaint is the bed was so hard even with a mattress pad. My advice would be always ask for a mattress pad and maybe even two.

We are part of the vacation club and decided to try this resort because it was smaller and seemed family-friendly. The staff was friendly and everyone loved our baby. It was a small resort that was easy to get around. The main pool overlooking the beach was mainly for adults and smelled a bit like alcohol. We stayed in the back pool which was well maintained but pretty standard. There are no extra bells or whistles at this resort. They also do not serve a lunch buffet. They offer a snack bar with a few choices during lunch hours. Breakfast buffet was good but the offerings were the same all seven days. The dinner buffet was decent. Overall, it was a nice and relaxing stay but we will be choosing another Occidental resort for our next trip.

Room Tip: We changed rooms twice before being upgraded to a First Club sweet. The FirstnClub room was very nice. The first room leaked fire retardant after a heavy rain in the second room had air-conditioning problems.

We stayed here for one week. It's a beautiful hotel, the rooms are nice, clean and have good air conditioning. Food is serviced all day so you can't go hungry. The staff are exceptional friendly and kind. They work so hard and always seem to be in great form. Martha was our conceirge, she was helpful if we needed anything all week. All the waiters were fab especially Humberto and eligio for his lovely omelettes and fried eggs for breakfast. We especially want to mention Angel who works in the sports bar, we had lovely chats with him and he was so kind to us. Great bartender.

The one thing we did not like was we were encouraged to buy further holidays whilst there. After declining the offer a few times the sales manager continued to pressurise us. Offering us apparently " better deals" and said we would have to sign that day.

Overall we really enjoyed our time at the hotel and are greatful to the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable.

Great value for the price. The people in Mexico are so welcoming and friendly. You can't beat the staff. They are lovely and work so dilligently to please everyone. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and cool. The food was very tastey. Always a variety and available at all hours of the day. I would suggest not to waste your $50 on the internet package because we paid the extra and could never get access. Had to go to Starbucks, just a few steps down the street. We tried to get our money back but the manager gave us the run around and would not refund the cash. The beach is close to the hotel and pool. All in all this hotel was everything we needed and more. A quiet little gem amongst the big resorts.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms are cooler.

Got a great rate for two days. Frank was great explaining the hotel and all it offer. Didn't partake in the vacation club. Rooms are old, clean,and small. Noisy neighbors, walls and doors thin. Food was ordinary but good. Grounds are clean and nice. Two pools, one is quiet and the other is the busy one with the pool bar. Clean beach area. The Barcelo group just took over so they will most likely invest in this hotel.
