Please read this honest review !!!! if booking privilege !!!!! I was very excited for this trip been to Mexico many times I understand Mexico standards and I’m not a Complainer or troublemaker I don’t write bad reviews but this one is a big exception considering the impact it’s had on my family, this review is based on my experience and talked to few others from uk Canada and usa who had similar experiences the week I stayed October 22-29th . I arrived at hotel around 1230 pm , my wife 10 year old son and 5 month old new born we traveled with mother in law (60), sister in law (25) and my brother (20) all had our own privillage rooms , staff was friendly everyone received rooms except wife and I it stated early check in with privilege before 3pm but was disappointed be didn’t even get room till 4pm none the less we didn’t care we were just tired from travel and decided to take shower etc my son decided to take bath in the washroom when he was done he started draing bath and it started to flood the whole room , I notified the butler named (pool) and it took quite a while for them to come the helped clean up but that was about it next day they had workers in room all day working in bathroom loud noise etc so my wife had baby in her moms room for naps and to get out of the heat ( what if we didn’t come with anyone we wouldn’t have had a room) they didn’t offer room change my wife ended up staying in moms room and I slept on couch in brothers room 3rd day I went back to room and it stunk like very high chemicals my eyes were burning smelt very moldy , he came to room and agreed how bad the smell was and I explained to butler pool how can they expect young children to be in here and how this issues has really unconvinced us , I was told he would get us a new room asap 12 pm he says a room will be available for 3pm so I have to pack all luggage baby stuff 10 year old son stuff etc losing valuable vacation time with family to find out room wasn’t available till 445 pm room 3146 we arrive to find out it’s not the room I purchased it won’t work and it’s a downgrade , butler told me his manager is being a pain and this is all he’s offering , me and wife decided to go down to main lobby privilege upon arrival there’s a young women I ask her very nicely may I speak to manger she really very rude why I explained and she said no reason for you to bug manager this is all we have I set down explained how how 7 of us payed close to 15 k Canadian for this vacation and how I upgraded to privillage for hassle free vacation , next thing worker steps in identify him self as Antonio a supervisor he explained to me how I didn’t purchase a vacation based on room lol I explained to him I have been travelling for years and yes I did purchase based on room and how I paid almost $400- 500 per person for privilege and how I’m an experienced traveler he said he was going to move me to daisy building , I finally had enough I wasn’t aggressive or yelling but firm when I told him I will not be down grading and if he doesn’t have similar room for me then he needs to upgrade no down grade me I was about to pull my phone out to record when he threatened me with police for recording I started showing him videos and pictures and told him I will send this to head office by this time my wife is crying al of sudden he say we have room available for you he gave us room 3316 I asked him why he making such big deal if there was a room available for me , let’s get into my sister in law room she had mold spurs on bed and she has breathing issues and has a puffer when I showed Antonio his faces dropped I asked him would he want his kids or family sleeping on this bed he said absolutely not I asked with how would he feel about chemicals in hallways and consistent construction around his family and if he would be happy with with everything that’s happened he said no he wouldn’t in the end he sent cleaners they came and scrubbed the bed ,by the 4 th day they came and change the whole matresss , I have pictures videos of them threating to have me arrested for recording lots of documents air Canada rep Dorris at hotel says this isn’t first time hotel has done this , she agrees I deserve severe compensation and what happen wasn’t right I paid a lot of money and didn’t receive what I paid for my wife cut her hand on exposed metal from mikes coffee they were working on it and left it exposed and my kid ate metal cardboard foil from a milk carton in his pancake I have video of the supervisor telling me what it was and how sorry she is , so many problems , i expect a response by hotel or I will sue I for compensation I have lots of videos that won’t let me post only pictures can send videos upon request
