It was a wonderful place with great breakfasts. Curtis and Ashley were lovely. It is like it was built from a dream; the shower head is a conch shell. Everything was perfect. I must make 200 characters or they won't except my review. Phoebe

I visited villa la bella back in may 2012 while i was on the island of Isla for 10 days. As soon as i walked through the door i felt like i was at home. Curtis & Ashley welcomed me with open arms. The coldest beer i have ever tasted, one of the best margarita's,try the cadillac its the signature cocktail. The breakfast was out of this world, the biggest mexican egg tortilla,& to top it off fresh fruit & granola. I stayed there for 2 days & never wanted to leave.
Be sure to stay here, its pure luxury, even if you just stop by on your golf cart or moped for a beer or a cocktail.
I will stop there, because the rooms & the surroundings are very unique & wouldn't want to spoil the surprises that await your arrival at villa la bella
You will always come back for more. i will defiantly be back very soon. I love the island & villa la bella

We went for happy hour, best piña colada and cold beer for my hubby. Already planning my next trip back. Got to meet Ashley and Curtis, they are a super couple and make you feel really welcomed. It is centrally located and sits right on the beach. Awesome views, great place to meet friends for a drink.

This was our 2nd visit to Isla & our 2nd time staying with Curtis & Ashley at Villa La Bella. The 2nd stay was just as amazing as the first. Curtis, Ashley and their staff at VLB bend over backwards to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. From the moment you walk in the front door, you feel like you've come home! Curtis cooks some great breakfast creations (I'm trying to figure out how much beer it will cost me to get his enchilada recipe - Lol) and just does an all around great job ensuring everything is perfect. His recommendations for dining elsewhere on the island are ALWAYS spot on! Ashley is alway so gracious and can answer any question you may have about the island, things to do. If those two aren't around Ernesto or one of the guys is always there to help. Make sure you try the Pina Coladas! We love Palapa #1, it's heavenly sleeping with all the blinds open and listening to the ocean. We've only been home a few days and are already discussing when we're going back for stay #3!

Room Tip: The bungalow rooms have AC while the Palapa rooms do not but there is enough of a sea breeze that you won't miss it. If you're sleeping with the windows open, make sure you cover your cameras, sunglasses, tablets, laptops, etc so that you don't get the film from the sea mist all over the screen. We made sure to place our ipads, cameras, & sunglasses in the closet each night before bed.
