Cockteleria Justicia Social on Rueda Medina is no more, so most information about scenic view etc. is wrong. I tried to correct it, let's see if it sticks. The name is now Justicia Social Don Pino and it is on Calle Punta Soya, just south of Chedraui. I should know; my house is just 100 yards away. We went there for the first time today and were pleasantly surprised. The room is spartan and there certainly is no view at all, but they have a full bar and attentive service. The food was very good; we had Margaritas (always a good test), guacamole (same) and then seafood tacos. Everything passed with flying colors. Portions were generous and preparation was excellent. Everything was clean and fresh. We will for sure be going there when we don't feel like cooking at home. Prices were low to moderate, 60 pesos for medium size Margaritas and 90 for three well stuffed seafood tacos. Extensive bilingual menu.

I have been back twice to this local restaurant and personally i think this is the best ceviche i have had on the island so far (and i have a few)! The mixed ceviche has shrimp and caracol (conch), which i dont normally like but here it was soft and not at all chewy. The first time we went we ordered a shrimp and fish ceviche which i think was my preferred of the two, a large is good for sharing. Its a small restaurant located mid-island near to the Chedraui supermarket. Its a short cab ride from the downtown and totally worth the trip. The seafood is all fresh and locally caught and the flavours are superb, i will be recommending this as my favourite place for ceviche. We also tried the "fish fingers" crispy and lightly battered fingers of a chunky white fish, served with rice, beans and salad, also very tasty. Reasonable food prices the large mixed ceviche costs $170, beers are $35 each, quick and friendly service, i will definitely be going back, oh and they have home delivery service too.

If you are looking for a place that has good local fresh seafood, this is where you want to go. Great food and great service, soon they will have an upstairs loft you can sit in to enjoy a good view and fresh open air.

What can I say, we checked it out on a whim and were totally pleased! Great food, totally fresh, and very affordable. We went back a second time for dinner after enjoying a lunch break from snorkeling. Check it out! Frankly, you probably can't go wrong with food on Isla Mujeres. It really is a foodie paradise!

We had always meant to visit Justicia Social and didn't make it before they closed, so we were excited to try their new location. The new place has plenty of room, a good menu with lots of seafood choices, and a friendly welcome. They were about to close when we arrived but stayed open for us. The two of us had a great meal with entrees and drinks for about $20 US total. The shrimp were well prepared and seasoned and were not over cooked (sometimes hard to find on Isla). We will definitely be back.
